My Mind Won't Stop!!!!!!!!!
Aznate -
You're not going insane. It's one of the most common fears that comes with anxiety. Just let your mind wander if it wants too. But remember that it's OK. You'll be fine. If insanity followed panic attacks, then most of us would be insane by now! I've been dealing with anxiety for over 20 years now and I'm still sane (as a joke, my doctor once gave me a note to prove it)! Hang in there.

Hey,
This happens to me alot, don't worry, your very normal. It's learning to become aware that your mind is on a runaway train. And learning to pull the brakes so to speak. I find positive self talk first ( i'm on a thought train, I need to stop, relax, i'm gonna be okay...etc)
Then focus outside yourself. We get stuck in our head and need to focus outward.
I count backwards from 100. I really have to think, and somtimes I do it outloud, I put on my favorite music. I call a friend and soley ask about them, I don't talk about myself. Or I'll call an axiety buddy, someone I can confide in and tell them I can't turn my brain off and they understand, we chat, they're supportive, and we usually end up laughing about somthing! So hang in there. YOu're NOT insane, it's more emotional, plus I had a therapist tell me once that truly insane people, ( like those you see wearing garbage bags and winter jackets in summer talking to a pet rock) truly insane/crazy people are blissfully unware there's anything wrong w/ talking to a park bench. People w/anxiety only worry that we're crazy and we're just acutely aware of all our emotions. We're very sane. =)
Godbless, i'll pray for peace for you and hope some of the suggestions help. Peace.

Aznate - You can handle this! Stop telling yourself that you can't. You are handling it! The best way to stop run away thoughts is to welcome more in. Yes. You are resisting and that's why they are screaming at you and going in circular motion. Start observing without emotion and just tell your brain to bring it on!!!!! That's acceptance. Now all that can happen is a calmer and slower mind. Practice.
