Well....I did it. I joined a weight loss place(WW). I gained a few pounds over the holidays and I was talked in to going. Actually I secretly wanted to go LOL. It's time to get the health part of the New Year's Resolutions underway. I bought a pass that will take me to the middle of May. I told them that I didn't want to know the weight until the middle of May ! LOL They said that was fine. I cleaned the junk food out of the house (I threw it away..I didn't eat it ! LOL) . Now I need to go grocery shopping for all of the right foods.
Last night I had "The Last Supper" . I ate foods that were baaaaaaaaaaad. Now I need the foods to clean out the system and get the weight loss going. I don't know how much I need to lose, but I want to be at my goal this year sometime. I want to go into next New Year's Eve not having weight loss as one of the resolutions. I can do this and I will do this. I was told that I need to get 8 glasses of water in a day and for every 10 pounds over weight, another glass ! I told them that I'll need to be hooked up to an I.V. for that ! LOL (just kidding....I don't have that much to lose....I don't think......). I REALLY want a pizza....... ;)

Way to go :)
Good for you , taking the step to get the bad stuff out of the kitchen or the house haha. It's hard to do. But just like with this program it's a lot of baby steps. I started working out this week doing a 1 mile workout that has an option of going up to 5 miles. It's the Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds. I will be going mostly by how i feel and how my clothes fit. I have been having more energy and less of the blues too. So it's all good. Everything we do , step by step gets to the ultimate goal of being healthy so Good For You!
Pizza? well maybe a whole wheat pita bread as a base with lots of veggies, little cheese and lots of garlic ;)
Rock On !!!

Awesome! Weight Watchers is really a great program. I joined last year and lost 20 lbs and reached a healthy weight. It's tough at first, but it gets easier once you learn how many points certain foods are. Good Luck, I'm sure you'll do great!

I just bought a manual treadmill. It's great. So much better than the electric one! No cords!!

I'm going to start my WW too! I got all of the program items. Books, calculator, etc...

Manofmusic you rock!!!! You should be very proud of staying committed and actually putting action behind it. So many people, come Jan. 2, aren't doing anything (and they won't.) That's awesome, brother.

I do have stepped up my exercises. I am 25 pounds over, so I set a goal to do 10-15 minutes worth of aerobics every night. (Eventually I will increase the time.) I know I won't be able to do it every night but I learned from last year's goal which was to do aerobics 2-3 times a week. I ended up doing 1-2 times a week.

Since I made the every day goal which was just after Christmas, I have been doing the workouts 4-5 times a week.

I've also started amending the diet.

Way to go, champ!! ;)

Thanks for the encouragement ! It's kind of cold here to exercise outside. (or maybe I'm just being a wuss). We're supposed to go above freezing on Wednesday. I can't wait !

I have an exercise bike, but it's not nearly enough. A treadmill is a good idea. Maybe some weights or an exercise ball (although that would be like trying to wrap a ball around a ball). Any ideas for exercising indoors inexpensivly ?

Man
I just cleaned house like a crazy woman and then finished it off with a ten min. stationary bike ride. Moderatley fast. Anything that will get the heart rate up works. Increase the heart rate, you burn calories :D
