Second Time Around....
Hi,
Well, my advice is that you should never feel "weak" when you take steps to deal with your anxiety, even if you have to do it repeatedly. Many of us have had one step forward, and several back throughout our recoveries and increased stress can make any of us have to go back and brush up on our coping skills. It's not about perfectionism or viewing yourself as inferior or weak. This program is geared toward the individual, and the point is to do it as many times as you need to so that it works for you:). It doesn't imply weakness or inferiority to do it multiple times. Like you said, you are just going through a lot of stress right now. When we're stressed, studies show that our learning curb goes down and our memories diminish, so we may have to do things repeatedly. So, that's my overall advice. I think you will also find that it will be easier this time around and that you will be able to go right to the parts of the program that benefit you the most:).
Take care,

I went through the program twice and still refer to it occasionally when I need to. I just consider it a life skill that I want to keep reinforced. There's no weakness involved, just tools to keep you on track just like exercising, eating well, and positive focusing. There will always be stress that surfaces and after a while of repeating these skills you will see how automatic it will become to stop the anxiety before it escalates. Go through the program as many times as you need to.
I'm planning on going through it again, but not taking 3 months like this time as I did. Instead of listening to one CD a week, I'll probably do it once a day and skip the ones that don't apply to me. I wish there was a section for those of us who have already gone through it. I'm actually on week 14 so I'll be done by next week.
