Anxiety on freeways

Hi all. Do any of you guys suffer from anxiety issue on the freeway? Its a major stumbling block for me, everything is just so fast, I get scarey thoughts about driving of the road and crashing, about opening the door and other stupid things. I tend to avoid them if I can however I have got a trip coming up soon which involves a 50 mile ride of the freeway and I am dreading it,

Oh, yes, highways. Sure can identify with that stress. I avoid them but will have to go on them in June. I've done this trip before so that helps some. Still, it takes much mind control. Thinking about it ahead of time makes it much worse. So I try my best to blank it out.

Desensitizing can help, meaning go on a highway and get off, just for practice. That can send this message to the mind, "This isn't nearly as bad as you think." Best wishes to you (and me).
