Does anyone else get a pain in their chest? I get a pain on my left side, near where my heart is and I get so paranoid something's wrong with my heart! I'm not overweight and I'm only 19 years old, but I still get so worked up and have panic attacks over it! How can I relax and convince myself that I'm fine?

Session 2 has the six steps for ending panic attacks.Have you tried the relaxation cd.Try using it everyday to relax. You just have to keep practing and sticking with it.
I know how you feel. When I felt my panic attacks I got a tightening in my chest rapid heartbeat, sweating and thought for sure I was going to have a heart attack. It would happen to me on a daily basis seemingly neverending. I just kept telling myself their only panic attacks and their not going to harm me. Believe it or not the most important thing is that I experienced the panic attack and that eventually proved to myself it wouldn't hurt me. Today when I do experience a panic attack they are few and far between and they are mild. I just use the six step method to keep them in check. You have to believe that you will defeat the panic attack. It takes time. Good Luck.
