I think this is just the group for me. I do have anxiety disorder, but mostly I am bothered by severe clinical depression. I am currently on meds, see a Psychiatrist and Psychologist. I feel this is my last chance at making a change. I've dealt with depression since I was a kid and I am now 50 years old. Enough is enough. I also suffer from fibromyalgia and deal with severe generalized pain - I have been disabled since 2005 and losing work was a real loss to my social life. I am an RN and worked in critical care, so work was very challenging and exciting. I miss it very much.

I think being in pain makes depression likely. I have had headaches almost every day since I was 15...they've gotten a lot less frequent but they can still be as severe and I just get snippy and lose my temper quick when I'm in pain. I just lose my patience. I don't have a cure, I just know how you feel. Welcome!

I used to discuss about anxiety and depression and always try to help people. It will be a pleasure for me, if i can give you any help.

constant pain is depressing, emotional and physical.i was born with eczema, and it can be severe at times,i started suffering with anxiety and probably depression in the 5th grade,im 48 now, and just told someone and sought help about a month ago.just finaly telling somebody was a great release for me,i no longer had to hide it.my depression had gotten really bad and if i had tried tokeep it hidden i probably wouldnt be here today,it was that bad!now i tell anyone who will listen so someone else might be helped.i had quit my job because i didnt see any point in going on,and i to miss working, and im starting to look for another job.im also trying to get an art career going (this was my dream as a child) and have done oil paintings for many years now,but with my social anxiety i was never able to show any one my work until recently.with the help of mid west center, and medication,(paxil) i showed one of my paintings to an art gallery in town and they were impressed and offered me a showing when i get 10 to15 paintings done,i have 9 ready now, but as i get closer to my goal my anxiety increases along with excitement.but im determined to do this,i WILL NOT allow my anx/dep hold me back any longer!wish me luck, and i wish all the best to you all. god bless.

One way I reduce my depression by generics. Generic medications give better result and I just know how I feel after took medication. Really helps.
