My symptoms
Hi
Just needing to know if anyone can relate. My symptoms pretty much go like this. I wake up with this overwhelming feeling of anxiety or I'll have a actual panic attack, dizziness, inner racing, very sensitive to the hot weather, dizzy in the shower. When I try to drive I get this overwhelming feeling of self doubt that leads me into an instant state of panic. This is my life right now. I feel this way almost everyday! Can anyone relate? I had a lot of this under control. I at one point was so agoraphobic that I didn't leave my house for almost two years. I worked really hard on this and got myself able to leave my house again and I was to the point where I was starting to drive a little even with just my kids and me in the car. I would normaly have to have another adult in the car. For the last month in a half to two months now I've spiraled downwards. Very frustrating! Not sure what to do now? Any help would be great!:) Thank you!

Can you put a sign by your bed that you will see in the morning that gives you encouragement that this is "just" anxiety and reminders of how you helped yourself before. And in the car- a sign that refutes your doubts??
I agree that hot weather seemed to bother me before and trigger "oh no- what if" feelings. I have started running outside and to get myself used to summer temps and humidity, I purposely didn't turn on the air and opened the windows in my van when I had to drive. It really helped me to acclimate to hot and muggy. And I sit outside at my kid's baseball games and that has helped too.
I think you have hit a bump in the road. Do what you know works. You are bigger than this thing and if it worked once, it will work again. Don't give up. A great book that helped me alot is "Freedom from Fear by Dr. Howard Leibgold" I read it and used his techniques when I just wasn't getting it with StressCenter.com. Some of the same info. but presented differently and it really resonated with me.
I wish you well and happy driving real soon.
