Hi Sheri:

I'm on week 2 also and have definately noticed an improvement. I would love to chat too. I'm not sure what you meant by not feeling very connected either, but I am going to guess you mean with the online community. I feel a bit that way too. It is very large and so much is going on. It makes it difficult to focus and connect.

I'm on Session 12, but just wanted to add a thought for you all! :)

Have you tried the "New Users" page? Up on the top of this page are the tabs that say: "Online Chat" "New Users Peer Support", "Edit Profile" and "Login". If you click on the new users one you will get a page with options to click on the month that you started (or if you have gotten off track, just subtract backwards to find the month that would have started for the week you are in). The people that visit THAT site should, mostl likely, all be on the same session as you and in the same level of progression, so to speak.

Don't worry about the pace on these boards though - when you have a specific question or see a particular topic that applies to you, you will find yourself in conversation with some very bright, fun, encouraging people who can support you and in turn receive your support at times!

Best wishes!

Dawn

Sheri,

I think I know how you're feeling. I'm on week 4 and love the program, and try to check in online as often as I can. BUT, it seems like a lot of people have been in this community a long time, and already know each other. I don't feel overly connected to the online community yet either, but hopefully that will come with time.

I think you'll find that if you have a question, or a concern that people will respond and offer you encouragement or advice.

It can feel a little intimidating getting into a new group at first, but my impression is that there are a lot of "veterans" out there to help us! They've been there. Just keep checking for postings that you might be able to relate to. I don't find them every day, but I keep checking.

Hope this helps!

Nancy

I'm also on Session 2 and haven't spent much time on this forum. I'm not much of a support group type of person but realize that I need to participate for this program to work. I'll try to check in each day and help if I can.

Hi everyone!
Sheri's comment got my attention and I think I understand what she means. I'm on my third week of the program and am feeling a little better myself. Remember, we're just getting started so let's be patient and don't give up! It's hard to connect to people anyway... and then there's us! I will try to check in more often to talk, and be here to listen for any of you. You never know... we could find a friend for life. I'm still learning to navigate in the website too.
