Hi,
I had anxiety disorder since I was a child. The first time time I notice when I was in 3rd or 4th Standard.I dont know what it was exactly at that time.
I faced lot of problems with anxiety since long time.I do scare in social situations, feel like watching some one.I cannot mingle in groups and make friends. When I am meeting some one first few minutes or seconds then I feel uncomfortable by changing the colour of like fade or no smile and if I smile also as if I was doing forcible.
As I am a software Engineer, need to mingle with people due to I could not do it. Due to anxiety I am loosing the job quite often.Even during the work also I dont see any pleasure. But we have to live So I keep working.I consulted Psychiatrist and they give prescription for Zoloft tablets. It was ok but my heart was beating like anything during running or walking on the staircase etc.I used for 3 months and stopped using them. Then I took around 10 Psychotherapic sessions. But it is also no use.
Still I have the same problem.I cannot mingle with others, stare at other during talking, walk comfortably in the group.
I am looking for the advice what is the best way to control the above said Anxiety disorder.
Thanks a lot for your help.
Anxiety Disorder
Do you have the program? I think that's a good place to start. Everything you mentioned is "fixiable" even if it doesn't seem like it right now. I think maybe you should find a new psychologist too, sounds like maybe you didn't have the best experience with this person. I would give it another try with someone new.
Don't loose hope though because there's a lot of help to be had

Your anxiety springs from many sources, from poor self esteem to genetic predispostion and, alot from incorrect/bad thinking. Example; catastrophic thinking, victim thinking, obsessive thinking, guilt and worry not being processed properly. That is the tip of the iceberg. The program will help you correct alot of what got you here to begin with. Treat the source, so to speak. It isn't a quick fix but, worked properly, is a permanent fix.
Take the chance and do the homework, it will pay off in so many ways for you. Stick with it and don't be afraid to come here and ask questions. This is an excellent resource for advice and support. It helped me tremendously just to know that I wasn't the only one out there. Good luck!
