Personally, I think praying is nothing more than talking to yourself, and it opens a gateway to the subconscious. The "answers" you get are only your own mind telling you what you already know. I don't believe for a nanosecond there is some omnipotent deity out there who may or may not listen, who may or may not care, and who may or may not decide to answer, and even if it answers, may or may not be in agreement with our wishes. I put my faith and trust in what is, not what may or may not be. I refuse to allow some unknown to have that much influence over every nuance of my existence.

Disco,
You certainly are free to your opinion & beliefs.
There are a lot of us that do believe in a higher power on this site. We believe in our soul & spirit that there is something much bigger than us directing our lives.
Good luck with the program it is wonderful & it does work.

I agree prayer changes things and we can change ourselves through prayer, it is the waiting that is hard.

daniel aguilar, don't claim to be a panic man it is negative thinking, with all due respect, I am keeping you in my prayers. I use to talk so negatively about myself and actually the things I was saying I was bringing on myself. Pray and cast that panic out of your life "In the name of Jesus" over and over again until you calm down a bit, then try to listen to the relaxation cd and christian worship music, read the material in the lesson your in for that week and if you can, drink some chamomille tea, it will help relax you. It is all natural, and they sell it it any market. All this helped me and I pray alot, for God to take this from me, I am doing so much better. I have not had a panic attack in a couple of weeks and if I do feel something, I start praying "Peace in the name of Jesus" and try to distract yourself with the things I put here. God Bless You.

"Let no weapon formed against you prosper in the name of Jesus"

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

Meditation
In this quite moment, I center myself in the presence of God. I open myself to this presence within and rest for a moment in an awareness of peace and love.

I savor the truth that I am a beloved child of God, created in the image and likeness of God to be healthy and strong.

I relax in the presence of God now, I begin to let go of any thought that may keep me from experiencing a deeper realization of my oneness with God. I relax and let go.... I breathe deeply.

God is the life, light, love, and peace within my heart and mind that assure my complete well-being.I center myself in the peace-giving presence of God, my outlook brightens and I am filled with renewed serenity and faith.

I know that through the life of God, healing is always possible. I welcome the renwal that is at this moment taking place within me from the crown of my head to the tip of my toes.

My mind is open to the light of God, and to the inspiration and guidance that help me make wise decisions, keep me receptive to new opportunities for abundant supply, and lead me on the path of freedom and success.

Centered in the love of God, my heart opens to a deepening sense of compassion and understanding in my relationships with others. I experience greater harmony.

Aware of my oneness with God, I know that all is well.

Nissi, I understand you strongly believe in your religeon. It means alot to you but you aren't going to change the minds of people who don't agree with religeon and either way it's not going to make much diffrence to your life if you do get through to them or not. However i'm not sure why disco felt the need to state his own beliefs on faith in here, it wasn't the topic at hand.

That's a long time. I'm doing alright, I've decided to go through the program again but this time to actually do the relaxation 2-3X a day, journal and replace thoughts on paper daily. I've been improving alot but the last couple of days I've slipped back and I just figured out the culprit as I've gotten to lesson 5 (diet & exercise). I tried rewarding myself with candy and it's making me really moody and anxious. Neways things are looking up.

Hows things going with yourself?
