Sometimes I feel anxious without the racing heart and panic feeling. I feel tired and anxious at the same time. My arms usually feel cold or tingle at the same time. Anyone else like this?

Absolutely, I can relate. At times my body feels "wired for sound". I feel a "buzzing" sensation in my body. I feel so anxious and amped, yet my pulse will be 75-80 and BP within very normal range! I have no explanation!

For me, I often feel anxious when I'm tired. If I haven't gotten enough sleep, I'm much more prone to have anxiety or a panic attack. It's as if my defenses for dealing with anxiety aren't up to their normal levels. This can also happen to me when I'm getting tired at night.

As for the tingling and coldness in your extremities, that's part of the normal body reaction to the fight or flight response that comes with panic. You're body is redistributing the blood flow throughout your body, which usually results in tingling in the extremities and also the face. It's nothing to be concerned about.

Sometimes my anxiety has the racing heart, feel of panic building up etc. Other times I feel anxiety but no racing heart, tired and sluggish feeling. Glad to know there are others out there like this. Sometimes I feel anxious but no physical symptoms then other times all physical and no mental. Anxiety is a b*&ch.

satown210/Seebee/SeaRunner....I know exactly how you feel. There's nothing worse that having anxiety and being tired. It all seems like so much, a mountain! This is especially true if you constantly fixate on your health. It's a catch...you're anxious and release adrenaline to help cope...after a while, you get tired because of this rush and produce aches/pains...you fixate on these and the panic sets in...and so on, and so on. As weird as this sounds, I try and give myself permission to be tired. I just say to myself, "You're tired and this is why you feel this way. I'm OK!" I especially get this way when I don't sleep well. This has been quite constant as we have a 7 month old at home now. I have had a good nights rest for over a year....

Hey, I know what you are talking about when the body feels tired but on edge at the same time. To me it feels like a can't relax but I am so tired I just lay on the couch and do nothing. The only thing that works for me is to listen to music that gets me out of the funk and then I work out either by jogging or hitting the weights. I always feel better afterwords as it gets my mind into the present and gets my breathing up and burns up the nervous energy. My mind seems to get heavy and negative thoughts are getting in the way of being happy or productive. Hope that helps.
