i feel so anxious lately it seems like every 5 seconds i have some sort of negative thought wether it is i think i am crazy, or i am gonna hurt somebody or some wierd sexual thought, or God is gonna make me crazy or send me to hell, all sorts of things. I have been trying to just ignor them but it seems like i just cant. i was trying to get back my relationship with God again and went to church like a month ago. I liked it and felt good and wanted to start going again. But that fell through have not been back yet and been out drinking a few times since then. Not sure what i want out of this i just want to be pulled out of this bubble of anxiety depression and confusion. Any advice would be appreciated. I just feel like spacey and on the edge all the time, with very few brief moments of relief.

It's like reading my own posts. From what I've discovered you're going to have to try to stop ignoring these thoughts and accept them and let them be. What we resist persists. Believe me I'm not that good at practicing what I preach but I know that ignoring these thoughts just makes their grasp even stronger. I work with a book called Peace From Nervous Suffering by Claire Weekes that approaches these problems. Come to this forum as much as you need as well. The people here know what you're going through and have some great advice. I hope you find some relief soon and my best wishes are with you. PEACE

I am a christian I am very active in church. God does help us he says he will not put more on us than we can take. I know sometimes I get all those symptons you get. I have real bad panic attacks. I hate them. I never know when I am going to have on. I am taking Zoloft it has helped but I still feel some of the symptons.

Hello :

Yesterday, the 23rd, Ms T Bone posted an article that I think would help you. It is under General Questions and is titled
Panic Pizza.

It was pretty good.

Hey Bryan,

I have this problem too sometimes, all I can say is take heart knowing you aren't alone in this fight. And I don't think God will judge you for these thoughts :) Good Luck

hey Bryan,

i too suffer from these thoughts. its sickening i know. on top of that i am a very strong believer in Jesus. i got saved almost 5 years ago. i heard multiple times from pastors and a friend that the thoughts are not the crime. do not worry about God judging you for your thoughts, because he wont. it all boils down to a heart issue.

i just recently found this board and it was such a relief. you feel alot better when you see people that have the same issues.

Jesus said "come to me all who are weary and heavy laden because my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

take care, you will find a lot of answers and wonderful, knowledgeable people here.
