xlostgirlx,
It's hard to hear about someone in as much pain as you are. I hope you see that there are many people who you can talk to here. And stories like "Mom of 6" posted help those of us still in the program to continue trying.
I understand your skepticism about people just trying to take your money, but I don't think that's the case here.
Nothing will cure you instantly, but medication can help temporarily when you can't stand the anxiety. Just look at it as a solution that you'll use until you have the pain and anxiety under control.
It's so hard when the people around you don't understand. I can't imagine why your parents would taunt you with the program, but Lucinda has written two books and I'll bet your library has them. Try the relaxation exercises because they teach you how to slow your breathing during an attack of anxiety.
(It's just a matter of breathing in through your nose for two counts and breathing out for four, making sure your stomach rises and falls with each breath instead of shallow breathing through the chest.)
Please don't give up. The fact that you are here, no matter how discouraged, means that you're still trying. You can give yourself credit for continuing to try. Hang in there as best you can, and don't forget that there are many of us here in the same boat.
Les

i have bee feeling negative about the programe but it is down to others posting it. i think that the similarities in the programme with the breathing exercises and a lot of the techniques to what my councellors and phycs tell me then the programme must be good. because they all use the same!! this is what gave me hope and trust back to the programme. but i also think it might have been down to my anxieties and negative thinking. its nice to see some nice comments for a change it must be bad luck or something because i seem to be clicking on lots of bad vibes lately.. tonight has been a pick up for me. thank you..take care.

xlostgirlx.
i written on another of your postings, and when i said ur not alone, ur not, i had to wait a whole year and a half to get the program. i torchered myself that whole time. i myself didnt have a job, family didnt understand, wouldnt help. id watch the informercials all the time, and joined the forum. thats all i could do for a whole year 1/2.
i prayed every night to help me.. then i realized, when i had those good moments, that came very rare.. id earn my money.. $5 bucks here, $10bucks there. offered to clean family houses for $20bucks.. cut hair, rub feet, u name it, yard work, walk dogs.. whatever was gonna give me money..and i saved it. then i got a pre-paid visa cards u get at rite aid, walgreens etc. to shop online.. and thats how i got it.. mind u, it was hard to do cause, i rarely had those days, i was ok leaving the house, i took in what others were doing to over come an panic attack. breathing techniques. and praying, and self help affirmations helped me in the time being.. mind u, i didnt eat right, or exercise, and thats really does make a difference.
start findind ways u can earn money. im positive u can do it.
its all up to u to do this. not ur parents.
good luck

My advice to you is to go to Recovery, Inc. Its a free self Help program. It's respected and has been around since the 1940's, there are meetings all around the country and the world. You may feel helpless but you are not hopeless!!

xlostgirlx,
Here are a few things you can do right now, today, to start to feel better:
1. Cut out all caffene and sugar from your diet
2. Try to get at least 2 hours of viggorus exercise every day
3. Take fish oil pills and magnesium supplments
4. Start practicing catching yourself thinking or saying negative thoughts. You must turn this around and dwell on the positive in your life.
Compare your living situation to other in 3rd world countries that have no food or shelter. Be thankful you are not living like that. Be thankful for the the little everyday things like running water and a bed to sleep in. Take deep breaths and streach out and relax.
You are going to be just fine, you will see.
Don't be afraid to see professional help and get what ever meds you need but use the tools I just gave you to get started feeling better today. I feel your pain sweetheart and I want you to feel better, and you will!
God Bless you and peace be with you.
