I have quit drinking socially in order to help my self feel better and also alcohol definetly does not mix with the cymbalta i am on right now.. Therefor have found it a little difficult to relate to some of my friends and family since a big part of my down time and social life seemed to revolve around wine with the girls, and sunday fun day. Anyone else finding it a little akward, even though you know you are so much better off? Also being able to not judge your friends and family for their lifestyle choices- I have succumbed to getting caught up in the moment a couple of times, and regretted it a lot since my anxiety was much worse than it used to be after a couple of glasses of wine. Any tips on being able to enjoy activities with friends and family that included drinking in the past?

Dear DLSKJJ4;
do you have any hobbies? anything that you would like to try? Take a risk and try something that you have always wanted to do. does not matter what is is as long as it is for you -knitting, motorcycle riding, art what ever.
I agree it is very hard to be around people when they drink and you dont. I do drink, but very little(one or 2 glasses of wine) compared to some people I am around so I have found myself avoiding those situations. My partner can drink alot with his friends and I do not particularly like it and it has changed our relationship some. I wish you luck!
