Hello everyone:
This week has had its ups and downs since starting Session 1.I have had some anxious episodes, and have been kind of feeling ill, with some chest pain, nausea, discomfort in my sternum-upper abdomen. It has prevented me from daily exercise, but have toughed it out.Today I will go to the gym and work out.I did wake up with an anxiety-panic attack during one evening, but did the breathing exercise, and tried some positve self talk.It took a while, but I was able to fall back to asleep.Everything that has been suggested in the program I have been doing.I even started a journal.Never before in my life have I started a journal. The one problem that I have been having to is to make sure to partipate in the relaxation exercise three times a day.I also have been having some career oriented stress-anxiety.I hope I am ready to move on to Session 2.

Hi Scuba Joey, Session 2 will really help you!! I know it did for me. I'm actually getting ready to start Session 3 tomorrow. But #2 really helped me out a lot with my anxiety & stress. I'm used to having anxiety/panic attacks everyday and this week I only had 1 full blown attack. The rest went away when I started the 6 steps to help prevent an attack (Session 2). Start using your relaxation, you'll notice that it really works. It may take some time to get use to it but it will really help. I wish you the best and remember to think positive :) Best of luck!!!

Barbara M.
Thanks for the words of encouragement.I did listen to the Session 2 tape for the first time to start off week two, and it was reassuring to hear stories of people that feel the same way that we do.I can relate to many of the body symptoms that they had during panic attacks.Mine were and are really weird though. They seem to come on from out of nowhere.Eventually I was so anxiety ridden that I was in a constant state of dread and worry. Now it has been coming and going. That might be because of the medication that my doctor started me on, but I feel that it is a combination of the program, and the medication. Thanks Again
