My wife got mad and yelled at me just like my mother and father used to because I messed up my math on my hours for my part time job. It turns out ADD has showed it's pathetic stupid head again. I can't seem to get the logic behind keeping hours. And my handwriting is so horrible it's really embarrassing. I can't believe I am 48 and I still battle this type of thing! What a shame.

But I know the brain is a muscle and I can over come this. But how? How do I conquer this problem? I also need to improve my handwriting.

hi songwriter,

I to have ADD. Math and things like that can be really hard. I do have a suggestion on how to improve your handwriting...you can practice! Practice just like you did when you were learning how to write. Start at the beginning of the alphabet on a piece of paper and just go slow and write out each letter. Practice everyday, and eventually you'll get better I'm sure. Or you could get the letters that you have to trace, I'm sure they sell them at Wal-Mart or a pharmacy like store with school supplies. Just be patient with yourself. We can't all have awesome handwriting, but we can improve a little by practice. I get embarrassed a lot of the time too with my ADD probelems. I was always so bad at figuring out geometry like problems and this one time I was in a parking space and someone had parked strange near me and I couldn't figure out how to get out! Thankfully my dad was there and told me to just get out the other way...I felt sooo stupid, but I just didn't see it, it's no big deal. Just hang in there, if your wife gets mad at you just tell her to relax and that you're sorry. We can't all be perfect!

I hope this helps a little bit. Just don't be so hard on yourself, we all mess up at one time or another. :)
