Does anyone else take only Klonapin and no antidepressant? If so do you take it every day or as needed?

I'm taking a very small dose every night for the past 3 nights. So far so good. I'm just not sure what I'll do past the first week or two. Once I get caught up on sleep I might just keep it for as-needed.

I know someone who takes Klonopin alone. This person was put on Klonopin and Cymbalta, but could not take the Cymbalta because it made this person shaky...So, this person is on Klonopin daily, takes 1/2 milligram, twice daily, and does great on it!!!

Hope this helps...God Bless

That's good to know. I was worried it would stop working after awhile.

Faith, I take just klonopin (helps with my hot flashes too, what a bonus!). It's great for the anxiety. Works so fast on anxiety attacks or when my heart starts beating fast. I love doctors that say "it can't work that fast" How do they know?

I'm waiting for my doctor though to say she won't refill it. Doctors think it's addictive but I've been on .5 mg for AGES off and on. Never had to increase like people say you have to because you get used to it. I've never had that problem. Xanax is too strong for me, can't stay awake. I did go off because anxiety wasn't bothersome, but the hot flashes came back strong so I use it at night only.

Cool well I decided to take Celexa because I also have obsessive thoughts. And, I'm taking 1/2 of a .5 Klonopin at bedtime. So far so good!

I have nausea, heart palps, I'm jumpy, and I also have obsessive thoughts that never seem to stop. . .and I get so caught up in my worry that I can't think clearly.

So far the medication I'm taking is helping me a lot. The program is great but for me I needed an extra help for now.

Well, I had problems with my stomach way back when I was a kid. . . but my stomach cramping up so I can't really eat I've had for about 20 years.

Lucinda's program helps a lot of people! It didn't completely take away my problems but I have learned a lot.

Hi Faith,

How is the celexa working for you?
I was on celexa for a few months because my primary doctor thought it would be appropraite for my depression, but when i was finally able to see my psychiatrist, I was told that celexa was more an an anti-anxiety pill as oppossed to an anti-depression.

I take klonopin, zoloft, and lamictal.
I have to agree with the above comments - klonopin works so fast and is amazing. Do you find that it makes you tired?

I hope your progress continues!
