Ok so i'm thinking since i'm researching and learning new techniques, I'd share this information with you guys.

I've already put one technique on here called the Thought Record which is at this link;

This next one is called the But-Rebuttal. This is pretty simple, basically what you do is you write out some kind of but or what-if and then you counter it. Very useful I found. And in this example I actually figured out a deeper problem as to why i resist relaxing and the relaxation cd.

Oh my gosh NinjaFrodo, this is exactly what I need. As I read yours I did one of my own in my head. It really helps to put "buts" in perspective doesn't it. Another great post as ususal, thank you thank you. Deanna

That's great that you can do this in your head, I find i get too distracted with other thoughts to keep focused on stuff like this in my head. It definately definately is useful...I actually worked on one with sleeping...I have this resistance towards sleeping when i feel tired. I keep myself up until like 3am and then I feel like crap. I used up about 3 pages with this technique and i got myself into bed before 9pm.

Keep posted, I still got several more of these things.
