Help for nausea as a main symptom?
Nausea and stomach problems have always been my main symptom. And my biggest fear is throwing up in public and embarrassing myself. I was wondering if anyone else has the same fear and does anyone have any ideas for soothing an upset stomach?

Yes this has been one of my biggest symptoms too (along with extreme lightheadedness). It's a real pain since it's very hard to concentrate on positive thoughts when you feel so ill like the slightest thing will make you sick to your stomach. I'm still struggling with this on a daily basis. Mine is significantly worse in the morning and usually improves at points during the day. Is your also worse when you wake up? For me, the thing that works best is distraction from how I feel...if I get mentally involved in other things (like work) then I start feeling better. The more I think of it, the worse it gets. Unfortunately it's not easy to just stop thinking of the nausea or the anxiety. I've struggled with severe nausea for 4 months now and just try to take it day by day. Let me know if you find anything that works really well for this particular symptom...
I too am having a LOT of trouble with nausea & I throw up most mornings - maybe my nerves build up overnight? I'm not sure, but I take .25mg of xanax before I go to bed along with my heart pill (for mitral valve prolapse) This morning I tried eating a few bites of applesauce because they say that's an 'easy' food to digest & I lost it after about 3 bites. I've been sick most of the day & the thought of food makes me nauseous. When I do eat, I get really bad belly aches. My stomach is hot most of the time, I know due to my nerves, but I've gotta be able to eat something to have strength & energy to do the things I need to do - no noursihment makes the anxiety worse & causes more symptoms, but it's just really hard to eat when your guts are refusing what you give them. If anyone has any solutions for this - PLEASE let me know. My email is cracie_fl@yahoo.com - thanks!

Try wearing "Seabands" - those anti-nausea bands wore around your wrists. They're available at most pharmacies and online. I used to wear them all the time (every time I left the house anyway) and they really do work, but you have to make sure you place them exactly right (directions in the package).
I like these bands because they're not medication, so they don't cause the side-effect that anti-nausea meds do. They work by putting pressure (accupressure) on the anti-nausea point on your wrists.

I haven't got the seabands yet, but I will. So far today I have not vomited. However, my legs are really weak & I have no energy to do anything. I have gone outside with the kids today!! That took almost everything I had - and I felt good in my heart, but physically it was exhausting. I just want to cry because I love my kids sooooo much & want to be a 'good' Mom to them, but it's so hard when I feel this sick. Any suggestions or support?
