Hi,
Just call a pharmacist and/or your physician and ask if this is O.K. Pharmacists are usually a great resource regarding medications. If it's not recommended do not do it. Usually when someone dies from a prescription drug it's because they combined it with something they shouldn't have against a doctor's orders or they took more than was prescribed, etc. It depends on what you are combining xanax with to what type of reaction you would have. Don't assume that it would "just" make you drowsier. Get the facts from experts, and I'm not saying this in a mean way, but I wouldn't depend on opinions on this board to tell you whether or not you can combine medications. People can share their experiences with meds, but they can't tell you whether or not mixing certain medications is a safe practice. I just think a simple phone call will clear up the matter for you:).
Take care,
