I would guess a doctor would have to tell you. I take xanax myself, but just got this kit today. I hope to not have to take it. I am more tired and eat more when I take the medication and diabetes won't let you eat all the time.

between u and ur dr, but, i have used both and clonopin seems to work longer for me

Xanax has a half life of 3-4 hours, while Klonopin has a half life of 8-12 hours. So, to answer your question, Klonopin is longer acting!

I take Xanax and it works well. However, you need to be careful about the dosage. Too much of it will put you to sleep!
