any advice on meds ??

I started with anxiety and have now gone to depression. I am now on Cymbalta and have been having ringing of the ears or tinnitus for quite awhile. the only reason I stay on it is because it has helped the depression. But the ringing of the ears and tiredness is getting to me. The doctor mentioned something about Pristiq. Has anybody been on Pristiq?? And has it helped?? Also, has anybody experienced tinnitus with it? And do I switch or not???! Any advice would be wonderful.

Hi, I'm sorry I can't help you with cymbalta, or pristiq, although, I've heard of both. I do know though that if something is giving you a side effect that is too much for you, or just doesn't seem right. It's a good time for a change. You can call a pharmacist, or check online about pristiq, or any other med. I am on celexa, and it's been pretty good for me. I had problems on paxil. I hope things work out for you.

I have just started cymbalta, and so far i have been feeling really good.
I would only change the medication of the side effect of tinitus outways the benefit of helping with the depression.
Sorry i cannot help more, my best advice would be to have a long chat with your doctor, Nothing can replace that.
