The content which is formed inside someone else's mind, and the comments which come out of that content, seldom have anything to do with anyone else. You are creating a problem out of someone else's issues. Your friend's comments are illustrative of your friend, not of you. Never own someone else's issues.

Sounds like you want a guy who acts like a guy, not a female. I don't see anything wrong with that. At first blush it doesn't sound like he is the guy for you. It sounds like he has some boy george qualities or desires that you aren't attracted to. We all have the right to choose for ourselves who we want to be in a relationship with. Sometimes relationships simply don't work out. It's a trial and error process.
