Hey everyone. My name is Candice. I am 21 years old. I just completed my first week with the program. I have replied to some posts but this is my first post. I love receiving strength from all of you. I am a Christian and even though I am going through depression issues I know God will bless me and bring me through. I wanted to introduce myself and really become a part of this forum. God bless all of you!
I sought the Lord, He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4

Hi Candice,
Welcome and Take heart dear one. There are many good people here that care and will give you their insight, observation, encouragement, support and some will even pray for you.
I hope you stick to the program and achieve success in the battle against this Giant that maybe harassing you. It is probably best to remember as warriors we do not battle with guns or swords, but are part of an army that is marching on our knees
I shall say a prayer for you and urge you to remember that all things work together for good for those who love the Lord. He shall provide, and you will fly as upon eagles wings
Happy flying.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I'm new as well and not very good with computers. I sent what I thought was a post to you regarding the natural supplements page you mentioned in one of your postings but I haven't been able to locate a response. My question was how do you know what supplements to start with or did you have someone who guided you to things to try for anxiety/depression, insomnia. Hope you get this message and hope I know how to view it.

Hi MHW,
Welcome to you too and thanks.
Regarding supplements, you can enter a specific thing or illness in the search field, and the site is a vitamin web site so it will look for the supplement most commonly recommended, then you can check it for contra-indications, side effects, etc. You can also enter any meds you are taking and and it will run a test for all contra-indications and side effects with all herbal supplements and vitamins as well as other meds that may intra-indicate. IMO, that is one of the best sites to begin you checks on any medication, vitamin or supplements. Thats the Vitamin Life site that is tied to the adam system. Here's the link:
<A HREF="http://www.livingnaturally.com/common/a ... 35785A#Use" TARGET=_blank>http://www.livingnaturally.com/common/a ... 85A#Use</A>
Use the navigation menu on the left to get all kinds of information discussed and other stuff I haven't mentioned here. If you don't get what you want try the home link and then the search field. All you need is some key word, like Depression, Diabetes, stuff like that. If that doesn't work on the home page try the Shop at then use the search field there to fine supplements and natural remedies for example: "Anxiety" renders this page:
<A HREF="http://www.vitaminlife.com/search.php?n ... mit=Search" TARGET=_blank>http://www.vitaminlife.com/search.php?n ... =Search</A>
On the first item if you click on the hyper link it will render:
<A HREF="http://www.vitaminlife.com/product-exec ... t_id/43228" TARGET=_blank>http://www.vitaminlife.com/product-exec ... d/43228</A>
It also displays the contents to which GABA or Gamma Aminobuyyric Acid is the # 1 item.
Surf to your right adjacent to the Supplement facts where you see Health information you will see Drug interactions with supplements or below it Supplement interactions with Drugs click on that link to go here:
<A HREF="http://www.livingnaturally.com/common/a ... 02F135785A" TARGET=_blank>http://www.livingnaturally.com/common/a ... 135785A</A>
Failing this you can use this you were sent to the earlier list of products that may be used for Anxiety, but since the reference libraries did not yield a link in the reference library for the item (GABA) I entered Anxiety in the search of of reference libraries where it came up at the top. Click it and it took me here:
<A HREF="http://www.livingnaturally.com/common/a ... 02F135785A" TARGET=_blank>http://www.livingnaturally.com/common/a ... 135785A</A>.
If you click on treatment options:
it takes you there and you see the typical prescription med on their main ingredients. Scroll further down and you can find alternative therapies and what they are, in terms of dietary advice and what supplements are commonly used for the treatment.
Then you can start all over with each item to check to see what contra-indications there are and if the supplements should or should not be used.
Well this was a good exercise in trying to guide you that site. But the more you search around there the more you will learn how to use it.
Whew! I am winded from all that surfing.
Hope this helps.
Oh, and BTW- your post probably got lost in hyper-space. It s happened to me several times. Now, before I post my reply. I right click, select all in my reply, and right click copy. The I paste it some where else so it doesn't get lost, like on a note pad or word document, before I click the post it now button. This saves me some grief and stress. Odd, that this happens on site called the stresscenter.com.
Take care and hugs,

Good morning Candice,
Thank you for saying so. It does feel good to hear those words of care and encouragement, and I appreciate your saying that, and hope that you receive all the agape love and care you may find here.
Wow! I just posted and the next thing I saw was this not beautiful, but gorgeous young lady in a picture. Now tell me again what all the fuss is about?
Whatever, you say, I am not going to believe it.
No one that beautiful ever has problems. Right?
Go out and make it a great day.
Hugs,
Gman5256

Thanks Gman5256 and Mom of 6 for all of your words of encouragement. I am only on my second week and I already feel so uplifted. My story really started in my teenage years. I felt very different from everyone else. I could not go to any football or basketball games or the mall because all of the people. That is mostly all you do in high school, right?
Anyway, I met my boyfriend of 5 years in high school. We are still together now but we are really having problems because of my anxiety, depression, and insecurity. I am a senior in college and I feel like I have wasted enough time. I want to live my life and be happy. I am so thankful to God for leading me to this program and all of you wonderful and loving people. God bless you all!

Hi MHW and Candice,
MHW, I apologize for appearing to ignore your post of a few days ago, I really just missed it and only saw it today.
We are no longer strangers, but friends. As a friend, I would do anything to help. My friendship is not a luke warm one, but one that is kind of give all you got to help. Besides,it was just a few links, and no trouble at all. Thank you for the kind words and blessings.
Candice, you have your whole life to live, and although you worry about your relationship, I am sure a pretty, check that, gorgeous girl
like you have had other dates or steady relationships. What you both maybe experiencing maybe a growth spurt, but really does no good to project where it may go.
It appears to me that the projecting and what iffing serves only to churn up feelings of anxiety and insecurity that then leads to depressed feelings about what may or may not happen. Chill out sweetie. BTW, did I say that you have a beautiful smile? Baby girl, with that smile, you could melt an iceberg.
That smile could go a long way on how others perceive you, including your boy friend, and how it makes you feel. I remember that old song (yeah, I know it is old and corny, but true) "...Just put on a happy face..." You have a lot to live for. So go out and live it to the fullest. I think that is what Jesus would do. What do you think He would do or say to you?
Lots of big hugs.
In His Love,
Gman5256
