Am I too sensitive?
Late in replying, but I agree with the others, this is one guy, how many others would have said this, and there are a number of things you could have responded.
"I'm working on my issues - are you working on yours?"
"Thanks for your vote of confidence, I appreciate it"
It isn't that you are too sensitive, most of us feel the same way and may have reacted similarly, maybe not be canceling our facebook accounts, but over-thinking that comment and "what did he mean by it?" etc.
The real fact is that HIS comment was super insensitive and obnoxious. You *are* sensitive, yes, but he had no business writing that to you. I've seen some commentary on here from a few select folks as of late that I'm completely surprised at and wonder if they realize that this is a peer support forum for anxious and depressed people. You just don't tell a friend who you know is sensitive that kind of thing. Period and end of story.

It almost seems as if this guy is too sensitive in making the remark..
The guy would always post insane messages that made no sense whatsoever! He was a famous cartoonist so I could see his point. He would start posting back to me as if he knew what I was up to. But he might have seen a little of himself in my posts and that is why he unfriended me. I mean what else could it be?
