K.DeniseC and Ace 20,
Have you been able to keep a journal of your daily thoughts doing this program. As assume as much as you put into the program is what you will get out of it. There seems to be no easy way with this and you must always be honest with yourself. I to believe you must take this at your own pace, everyone is different. Good luck and pleas stay in touch..Have you gone into any of the chat rooms?

Hey Doug K:
Yeah, I've been journaling. Everyday doesn't actually pertain to the program but have been very consistant with it. I think part of me still wants to believe this will all just go away. But after years of dealing with depression I know the program will help tremdously :D
I mainly go into the post and forums. for whatever reason my computer at home will not let me in the chat rooms and going on them at work is not to ideal. I've tried it and get caught up in chatting and not working. Not sure my bosses would understand. :o

I've been very bad at journaling.... But I've been having a bad WEEK this week.. I'm in session 3, supposed to start 4 on Saturday, but I just don't feel like I'm ready. I had HUGE anxiety all day--no panic attacks, just huge anxiety.... Which usually leads to migraines--apparently that's how my body reacts, instead of panic attacks i get migraines, yay! LOL. I had to go to the courthouse this morning b/c my stupid association complained about the dog poop on our back patio--so it was a simple walk in there and "case dismissed" but i was still totally freaked out. BTW, does PMS make certain weeks harder? I've been feeling like an emotional-hide-in-my-bed wreck all week. Finally made it to the office today (YAY!) but still feel so tense that I can't calm down.

Session 3 has been a real eye opener. I had no idea how much negative thinking I do on a daily basis. How do others find the time to journal all your negative thoughts throughout the day? I feel like that would be a constant progress that would prevent me from getting nothing productive done at work? I have done some journaling, but whew my thoughts are mostly negative. Glad not be be going through this alone.
Take care all,
Amy

AN,

You always got to keep this in mind the fact is you are never alone in this...We all have negative thoughts, I read some where the average person has at least 300 aday. The workbook said to only write down 4 a day and your positive response to them. Please keep in touch and good luck. Just remember you will make this go away no one else can do that for you.

How are you all doing now with session 3 and/or 4? I've really found myself stuck in a funk :o I just haven't had the motivation. I think I want to pretend as though everything is o.k. with me when really I have the negative thinking and I do have high expectations, especially on people close to me. So until I put forth the effort in these 2 sessions I don't want to move on. I hope all of you who have posted recently are doing well with journaling, that is one thing I've stuck to. What about the relaxion cd?
Take care,
K.Denise

to K Denise C,
I'm sort of stuck on session 3, have been
on it for over a week and can't seem to move
on. I can have a really good day and all of a
sudden I will just think panic attack and start
to have one for no reason. Then the old anxiety
pattern starts up again and I can't seem to
shake it. It's like when things get good I seem
to think something bad has to happen. kayzee

Hey kayzee:
I'm doing much better with the program for today :p I actually gave myself permission and realize I'm right where I need to be. So I've put forth a little more effort with session 3 and feel good about it. remember the breathing technique when you feel panicky, maybe that will help.
Good luck

Kayzee-Nurturing ourself means if we're not ready for the next lesson, we're not ready. I just started session 4. If I had to follow a timeline, I should have started it monday, not today.
Remember, no should of on ourselves
Also, self talk and writing down self-talk to encourage me today is essential. I'm using self talk to counter negative comments from others.

Denise-stay in session 3 and 4 until you are ready. the first 3 sessions especially make us face the fact that we have condition and that's reality, and we can do something about it for ourselves. It may not be easy or quick, so do it on your time line.
