I am currently taking 200 mg of the generic form of Lamictal each day.
I feel like I am doing well on this dosage at this time.
I also take the generic forms of Seroquel, Buspar and Wellbutrin.
I have Major Depressive Disorder and anxiety.
If I am super busy and I am not isolating and I am socializing
and participating in life, my depression is way down but my
anxiety is way up because I am doing things and meeting people
in the outside world and I have not done that for a while.
If I stay home and isolate and don't leave my apartment, then my
depression is very high, but my anxiety is very low.
That is what I have been dealing with lately.

Yes I am taking it myself. My husband said the seizure i had a few months ago. He had to call the Ambulance but, the doctor said it is not from this medication. I am on 16 pills a day. This includes the High Blood Pressure meds I take also along with HIgh Cholesterol. I found that ativan (loraxepam) works better for me than Klonipam.

I am still confused about what mental health condition
Lamictal is used for ? According to the Internet Lamictal
is used for people with bi-polar. I have never been
diagnosed with bi-polar. I was just in the hospital six
months ago and they said my diagnosis was Major Depressive Disorder.
So why would I be prescribed the Lamictal ?

Lynda, sometimes I think the doctors just give them out(with good intentions) to see if they will work.
