Don't forget to hop into the mini-chat in the evenings to connect with other peer members. You have a lot of wisdom and encouragement to share with one another. We all have a story and are on the path of growth and healing. We can help one another along the way. You're amazing!

Hi Coach Chris!
I am currently on Session 12: Change. This is my second time through the program. The first time I started feeling great around this time and stopped, well, this time I am keepin' on!

The main things I deal with right now are situations where I am out of control. I can't even go out to lunch with my co-workers because someone else always drives and I'm afraid I'll feel awful the whole time and get sick and be stuck there! Another example, I have a field trip (I am a teacher) coming up where we will be gone all day on a bus  We will be going to the movies and then the park. I am so afraid of being "stuck" and not having a vehicle. I'm afraid I'll feel weird the entire time or just completely freak out. Any tips?
Also, my family and I are traveling 12 hours for vacation in a month and my daughter is not a great car rider.. I am so afraid she will cry the whole time. (She is only 1.)

These are the few things that I keep "what if"ing to death. I always replace my negative thoughts with positive ones, or at least I try... but the anticipatory anxiety of what might happen on these things stress me out or makes me avoid them altogether (such as with going to lunch with co-workers).
Any advice would be great! :)

Hi thanks chris for your reply have not logged on in a while been so busy. I am just doing what I can each day. I have found I am alot more aware of my thoughts and stopping my self when a negative thought pops up. Usually I would over think it , but now I stop it before it starts. I still have the anxiety attacks over trivial things , feel short of breathe and panicky , though with my breathing and self talk I believe I am recovering quicker.

I have always said I would deal with my anxiety and depressions when I get over hurdles in my life. I did not know where to start until I seen this program and Its a relief as they understand and explain all the symptoms I have. Since starting this program I have even found that feeling I always had , the impending doom or underlying worry has hardley been there. Ill keep working hard at the program at my own pace and hopefully it will change my life.

Cheers Corey :D

HI Kraycraft,

Thank you for your post and reaching out. Congratulations on going through the program a second time and continuing to get stronger. It is very common to go through the program several times.

I can hear that you are still fighting against the adrenalin/anxiety so I recommend you go through the lesson 2 and focus on the 6 steps. Curious to hear what you feel your secondary gains are from lesson 12? That is hard concept to unlayer but understanding them can bring great insights into why we aren't getting all of our power back from the adrenalin.

Lastly, it's important to move out of negative thoughts into positives truths quickly. Keep practicing.

I look forward to your reply :)

Hello 1niceone,
Thank you for your post. Your body symptom is a very common one and one that can be managed well through breathing and relaxation. We recommend you use your relaxation cd 2-3 times a day and really focus on relaxing your chest area. This takes a lot of practice and you will get better at it. Remember to use truthful selftalk and under-reacting as well. I hear you telling yourself that you are a healthy woman and this is anxiety /adrenalin that you are feeling. Well done!

I would review lesson 2 and the 6 steps as well.
Keep us posted.

Have any of you seen Ironman 3? He was having quite the anxiety issue wasn't he? It was almost uncomfortable for me to watch and yet I wonder how many people could relate to how he was feeling???

Hi coach Chris ,
I have had a really tough week with anxiety attacks. I have been very busy and have not done much of my program the past week. I have completed to session 4. When my anxiety is bad the attacks last pretty much all day , I cant catch my breath , constant yawning and feeling short of breath all day and tight in the chest. It gets too the point after days and days of attacks where I hit rock bottom , like my body shuts down. I feel absolutely fatigued and depressed and very irratable and overwhelmed and emotional.

I realise this is my body way of shutting down from all the attacks but it makes me feel helpless. I have a very busy life , blank line shift worker , dad of two girls , including a new born. I have had anxiety and depression since a young teenager , I am now 32 , I have had alot of stress in my life over the past 10 years.

After seeing this program I feel great hope because the way this program explains the symptoms and why we are like this , explains my symptoms pefectley and I dont feel as alone. I am scared it wont work for me , because just as I think Im improving I get a terrible week full of day long anxiety attack and feel back to square 1.

My plan is too just keep doing what I can when I can and get through the program , Im also starting to see a counseller. Just after advice just really beaten down after the last week.

Hi Mc, thank you for your email and reaching out. I suggest you hop forward and listen to lessons' 13 and 14. It sounds like your schedule and the past years of stress are taking a toll. This very common. There is always that perfect storm that comes in and it can take our power away. Make sure your diet is good and you are getting as much rest as you can. I would be happy to schedule a coaching call with you so we can figure out how to manage all that is happening in your life in a healthy way. Be patient with your body as it is healing. Your hard work and determination is inspiring and coursgeous!
