Okay, last week I went for my Driving Test and I passed the Maneuverability Part just fine, but the Driving part was horrendous and today I went to do my test and it was worse like the weather.

The way things are going, I'll never pass the test. They say 3rd time's a charm, but not for me. And if I fail two more times, then I will never drive again.

I'm going to take the test tomorrow, but it's in a shopping center and it will be snowing.

Any help?

MrCleveland,

Hang in there!! I have had my license for such a long time. Listen to this....

I went to renew my license in Mississippi as my husband and I were on our way to drive to another Air Force Base in another state....right as I was turning everything in, a lightning bolt hit the pole and they lost power. I was unable to renew my license before our move. So, what happens? My license expired as I was going into another state. Went to get a new license and they made me take a written test all over again. I flunked it 3 times!!!! Can you believe it? Mind you I have had my license for years before this. Here I was in another state, and the test was not at all like I remembered it. I cried alot and could not believe it.

By the time I passed the written test, I was able to do the driving which was fine.

I guess I am trying to say that you should never give up on yourself. Things are not always as easy as they once were.

Today there are so many rules and so much to memorize. Be good to yourself and don't give up.

Give yourself permission to fail. Have a plan in case you do. This will at least let off some of the pressure to be perfect. Accept, float and do your best.

We are all just human.....

Good news-I have passed.

Bad news-I'm a little nervous driving by myself.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's NEVER bad news that you are nervous to drive by yourself. Being nervous is normal and it just means you are getting ready to do something you haven't done.

Remember....everything is about perception. What you tell yourself is EXTREMELY important.

The best thing you can do right now is tell yourself the truth and repeat all the positive truths over and over until they stick.

One day at a time! Being nervous isn't wrong or bad...it means you are human! ;)
