hi, i ordered the "Combatting Stress and Depression Program" program about 6 years ago, and went through the program at home..it helped me a TON to cope and understand what i was going through and why. although i can't say that i have been totally anxiety free since then, i haven't really had to deal with any major issues related to the anxiety.
just over the past few weeks i have been experiencing the uneasy feelings, and have had a few panic attacks, sooooooo, i dug out the program and am starting back through it. any words of wisdom from anyone? do people on here offer support for each other? thanks for reading, and please respond, Rick

Hi Rick,
I'm not sure about others but I know I have found in the past it sometimes helps to have someone else understanding what you are going through to talk to. I bought this program a few years ago and recently dug it back out because I started noticing that a few stressers in my life are causing my anxiety to get more intense again. I've tried talking with my friends but because they don't truly understand why I act the way I do they tend to not being to give me the support I need at times. So after all my rambling in simple terms I think a lot of people try to help give eachother support through the forums.
Hope you have a great day!
Melissa

thanks Melissa...yeah, i feel like if i could talk to someone who totally understands what it is like....that it would be helpful. how long have you been reviewing the program. are you trying to go through it step by step like the first time, or just hit the parts that you think apply to you? is this site very active? Hi Rick,Melissa, and denise.
I to also went thru the program a couple of years ago and did very we'll. Most of my symptoms and irrational thoughts from a couple of years ago I thought were gone, but recently I went thru some stress in my life so some of my old negative obsessive thoughts and symptoms have come back some so I am using the program again. I viewed the program that once I was recovered i had eliminated my anxiety and would not experience those kinds of symptoms or thoughts again. So when some of my symptoms came back I had trouble accepting the condition of anxiety again. It feels good to know that u guys are somewhat going thru a growth spurt right now like I am, but if we just take it day by day and moment by moment we can get to where we want to be and that is emotionally and cognitively strong. SO?? how is everyone doing with the program? i am on session two now...starting to feel a little better, still not sleeping well. when i first started back on session one, i think it was very helpful to hear about how all of these symptoms were "just" anxiety/stress/depression, and not some going CRAZY issue...it did make me a little more anxious though, starting back with the program...i think just facing it head on again creates some more anxiety initially. how are you guys doing? Rick
