My goal is to stay away from meds, i'm 18 years old and got high blood pressure from them. and, since i've been off my blood pressure is low? it's weird.. i'm scared though. i hate waking up like that!

I'm sure it would be hard, but try not to focus on it so much, that only feeds it. It might be hard at first, but keep telling yourself you will be ok. It won't/can't hurt you. It will pass. You will be ok. Maybe try listening to the relaxation CD until you get back to sleep. But especially when it is happening the more you think about it, the more you focus on it, the longer it will stay, and the stronger it may feel. As hard as it is to beleive, your thoughts hold the power. I hope you are able to figure out something that works for you. I know how hard that can be. I remember when I was in Jr high and high school I always had trouble sleeping. My mind would just not let me.... I would get myself so worked up about it, especially knowing I had to be up in the morning for school, I would normally end up crying myself to sleep around 1-2 in the morning. I haven't been able to sleep normally I would say until I first started the program. I just learned to live with it. I managed to function with only 4-5 hours of sleep. After a month or so I would sleep good for a night or two, I called them my catch up nights lol... Thought as I have so many other times, it was just the way I am...
The more you try the better you get :)

I have to ask when you felt as though you were trembling/shaking - do you recall being at all hungry? or had you dranken any coffee eaten sugars? I know especially in the mornings if I wake up especially hungry, I can often dismiss it and have a cup of coffee instead... things like that tend to lead me to feel trembly/shaky??

Have you had a check-up from your doctor to rule out anything physical regarding the trembling :?:

I woke up one morning a few years ago with a pulse of 116  ! That scared the heck out of me.

I read an article from a doctor about sleeping and he said to make sure you do not use a lap-top /

cell phone ( devices like that ) before you go to bed. He also said to make sure you cover up any

digital type lights you may have in your room ( like an alarm clock ). Make sure your room is dark

and quiet. He said something about Chamomile tea, you can drink that to help you get sleepy.

Also, I think he mentioned taking melatonin, which is an over the counter pill that makes you

relaxed / sleepy. Well, that is all I can remember about that article. :?

The March 20th post from iwillbebetter was right on track. :)

I have had a sleeping disorder for several years, but I am taking sleeping meds right now.

I wouldn't recommend the sleeping medications because they are only to be taken for short

term use and are considered addictive.

Could your trembling be from withdrawal from any medications you were taking ?

Okay i haven't had check up with my doctor for anything. I really don't want too, because he will prescribe me pills and tell me i need to take them. NO! i don't need them, yes i have anxiety but i've gotten this farr. Like for real? and it's been 6 months since my withdrawal so it shouldn't be that.. It's probably because everytime i get anxious badly i'll start to shake, it's a symptom of anxiety that i just figured out..

Does anyone really get 8 hours of sleep? I haven't slept 8 hours for YEARS.
Lucinda says on one of her CD's that eventually your body WILL SLEEP and that you will eventually
sleep. What planet is she living on, not mine ! I haven't had good sleep for AT LEAST
6 years or longer. I am not even sure I am getting into that deep sleep that you are supposed to
get into to get that really DEEP sleep and then be refreshed when you wake up.
Is it called "REM" sleep or something ?
