As soon as I wake up....

Post by John61 » Thu Jul 07, 2011 4:00 pm

As soon as I wake up in the morning I have to get up, I can't lay in bed, that's when my brain starts to get me into trouble. I am going to try and hop right out of bed tomorrow and see what happens, even if it's too early.

Any thoughts or other people have tough mornings?

John - this is my problem. I can not seem to get out of bed in the morning and get out of the house. I used to be so outgoing and right now the last couple months of shutting myself in has caused me to not want to get out of bed. And then sometimes when I do get out of bed I end up on the couch all day. I am sorry you are experiencing this. Did you bounce out the next day? How did it go? I have got to solve this soon. I have an interview for a job, which I desperately need, and if I do not get motivated I am even afraid I will miss the interview, not to mention I am not getting exercise, or eating solid meals. My social life is me and four walls. I hope something is working for you and I look forward to hearing any suggestions from you or others. My Self Motivation mechanism seams to be broken.

Thomas, I hope things get better for you before your interview. I too need to get up and do something as well. I have found that listening to a relaxation CD first thing helps me. It isn't Lucinda's though.

John,
I wake up with anxious feelings too. Even after I take a nap in the afternoon or evening, I wake up anxious. I found that if I get moving, the anxiety goes away. I try to reassure myself that's it's only 'wake up anxiety'. Listening to relaxation exercises before going to sleep has helped to. Good luck. You're not alone! It's common among us.
