I was diagnosed with bipolar and clinical depression after going to the hospital under the Baker's Act. (suicide act) I also have general anxiety in everyday situations and all situations. I rarely leave the house and have panic attacks daily and anxiety throughout the day. I'm on medication for the bipolar depression and anxiety.
My question is can this program still help me. I'm on week 2 and Lucinda mentions that manic depressive and schizophrenia(?) require medication and that the program is for anxiety and mild to moderate depression. Will I only be able to get a little help from this? Is their any hope of recovering completely?
I'm Manic Deppressive(bipolar) w/ clinical depression and general anxiety disorder
Hey Miho...you know lucinda has said that she thought she had every mental disorder there was. I'm not saying you don't have that. I'm just saying there is HOPE! I was put on bipolar med. once. I have been in the hospital twice for the very same reason you were. I've been on alot of different anti-depressents, mood stabilizers. My doc. has tried so maney different things to help me. I say ALL of that to say this.
This program has literally saved my life, my marriage, my relationship with my girls..etc. I believe in this program 100%! I have never seen anyone post that the program isn't working for them. It's hard work but it's worth it...for me anyway. There will be bumps along the way. The program will help you with that...plus this community will too. I'm sorry no one replied to your very 1st topic. That actually happened to me as well. Don't let that discourage you. That's what the "depression" wants. Is for you to stay down. If that makes any sense? You have to fight it. let it(neg. self talk) know that it's NOT going to win this time. Hang in there..do the program and you will feel better.

Miho...I would NEVER say get off your medication. Please don't do that without your doctors help. I'm sorry if that is what you thought I meant. I'm still taking my medicine for anxiety&depression. That's something personal between you and your doctor. I just wanted to encourage you to do the program and to tell you that it worked for me.

Hi Miho, I also wondered about that for myself , when Lucinda said about schizophrenia and manic depreesion, but I am going under the assumption for myself that it may be able to help me, even though I have to stay on my meds.I have so much anxiety, and other issues that may be able to be helped by the program. I am also on week 2, or just starting week 3. Let's keep up with each other to see how it goes. Take care.
