NO CHAT!!!

This site has been down almost 3 weeks now and it's killing me!! I don't have anyone to turn to- when is chat coming back!? When will things be normal again!!?

I echo all your comments. I really miss my friends in the chat room. Let's hope it comes back soon. I cannot understand why we are not being updated on this by the site owners. Give us some answers please if you happen to ever read these posts!

I have to admit I'm surprised chat hasn't been back up by now. Perhaps they are in the process of revamping the site and it's just taking awhile - or perhaps they've decided to eliminate chat.

However, when you click on "Online Chat" above you get a message that clearly states "Chat will be back soon! We have temporarily disabled it while we make some changes". Therefore, I would conclude it's just a matter of time before things get back to normal again.

One thing is that we must remember is that this is the internet and no matter how well designed this chat or forum is made there will be the troublemakers out there. It has been said many times that the best policy is to put them on 'ignore' and pay them no attention. That's some good advice and also a way to have peace of mind while you visit this or any site.

I've been on this site since February 2004 (wow! 7 years!?!) and I've seen many changes. This is a place where people come to get help because they desparately need it. Anxiety & depression are serious matters and the chat room has been a veritable lifeline for so many (me included!!!) who need that extra boost beyond working the tapes and workbook. It is vital to have that help at your fingertips and I'm confident the StressCenter.com will get the site back up when they can because without it so many must be suffering to an extent.

At the same time, this is a lesson of discipline in that people also must learn how to go it alone independent of the website. I recall for a period how I spent hours a day in the chat room using it as a 'safe place' when I could have been out practicing the lessons I was learning in the program. However, I also learned to make chat an integral part so I was coming here for support and to lend support while also working the program adequately and pushing myself to get past my limitations.

So take heart- while I know this is the longest period of time they've ever had chat down, it seems evident they'll bring it back. Popular demand is there and I'm sure the StressCenter.com wants to improve things for the safety of all who subscribe and work the program. Hang in there- better things are coming!

Here it is march 3rd and this site is still down. Each time I come back to see if chat has been reinstated I become more depressed. This is horrible for people who rely on this site for now there is so little hope. The program is good but this site is needed with it or you feel so lost and empty as i do. I don't know what else to say, but it is so bad so depressing this site is still down. Why or when will they have it up again? Why don't the people tell us when it will be back or give an updates?
