Hello Everyone. I have been trying to concentrate more on the positive side versus the negative/anxious side. I was hoping to start a post about what we are grateful/thankful for in our lives. Maybe if we spend some time thinking about what we have, we can spend less time on our anxious and OST thoughts. I was wondering what you were grateful/thankful in your life.

Things I am grateful for:
My husband, my son, my family, StressCenter.com, my friends, these posts for helping me through my anxiety issues, the sun is out today - I am glad to see that. We were blanketed with 8" of snow yesterday and it looks beautiful, watching my son pass his tae kwon do test today and seeing the look of accomplishment on his face. I am also grateful for my determination to deal with the anxiety and not let it control my life anymore.

LisaLisa :)

Great Idea - Why is it that we humans find it so much more easy to be negative than positive.
I think of how lucky I am that I am not paralyzed or disabled. I feel lucky that I was born in American and not Afganistan, Africa, or India.
I am greatful to be able to see the beautiful blue sky, see the lovely green bushy trees, the birds singing, air to breathe, food to eat, a safe warm place to live.A car to drive. Healthy productive, beautiful and intelligent children, A family that loves me. Beautiful sunsets. Skills to work. The ability to feel joy at God's creation. TO have a family that knows I suffer and supports me.

Great topic, LisaLisa.

All my physical and emotional ailments are mild, my wife, my 5 senses, the ability to walk and talk, I am working, hope, my relationship with God, my entrepreneurial goal, the roof of over my head, family and friends, this forum, the drive to better my health, and able to pay my bills.

Excellent topic to create Lisa!
I was thinking of starting one in a few weeks about what everyones New Year's Resolutions were... Anyway I am so thankful for:
-God, the Grand Creator, Almighty for being the loving, merciful God that he is, giving us free will, to make choices on our own and my choice is to serve him and not let the anxieties of life get me down and giving me the strength to endure them
-My family, and support of my loving friends.
-TO have a job period, and a good one at that
-TO have an education
-TO be alive another day
-For all the people I have met at the StressCenter.com and on this forum, all the people who have chatted and PM me when I thought I couldnt go on (Thanks ANG :) )
-To be financially stable in the hard economic time the world is in
- For all the men who have done me wrong and shown me just exactly what i DONT want in a man and at the same time what i want and deserve!
-To be desirable to the eye, I believe im a beautiful person inside and out
-for Lucinda creating this program and it "somehow" making its way to my doorstep
-My drive to go after anything I feel in my mind I want and deserve
-The ability to take this program to heart and apply it to my everyday life and contine to encourage and help others along the way..
I could go on and on but I will leave room for others so continue to post!!!

I am grateful for my 2nd anniversary since my aniety/ panic attact that stopped me in my tracks for many months. This time of year is often a challenge for me- I started the program in January 2006. It is now 2008 and I am blessed with peace and joy in my life. I try to use the tools I learn through the program to meet the day to day challenges. Through the program I had a coach, Toni K, that I am grateful for- I miss her- I also worked with Byrun Katie's " the Work" which I found very helpful. For some reason, I needed to touch bese with the community again.I wish you all a positive and joyful new year.
