Ok sorry this might be long. I need advice. To start off with. My husand and 2 small girls age 2 and 4 have been staying at my sisters house for 4 months while we had out house on the market. I was taking 15 lexapro and 1/2 klopain sorry mispelled. Then when I moved back into my house last week I had more responsiblities taking care of the kids more landdry etc and the lexapro was not halping it make me feeel hot and like needeles where poking me all over and it never stopped. My xanax I had not taken in 5 months because I never needed it and I took it today it's .25 and it did not take away any of the pain. Now my Klopin is still helping I uped it to 3/4 its helping me sleep but I'm still having the hot pain. I'm guessing my sertin is not balancing. I'm seeing the doctor tommarrow. i don't know if I should up it or not as anyone dalt with this. thanks christin

I would get hot flushes when I started the Lex, but havent since then. Is it possible that this is a symptom of anxiety rather than the meds??

It might be related to azxiety. I'm doing more since then and I did not have a problem with it but now I am and I don't understand why. What dosage are you on. Its not really a hot flash that comes and goes it never stops it feels like needels in my skin. But maybe I need to work on my thinking.

I too am taking lexapro 10mg. i have been taking it for 5 weeks now. i have not had any problems with hot flashes or needle feelings. i had some side effects in the strat but most have subsided. Nole I know you speak pretty highly of the lexapro, how long wer eyou on it before you noticed a diffrence? Would you say it cured you of your anxiety? I am getting better, but still have some serious issues with agoraphobia and getting morning anxiety going to work. Any light you can shed would be appreciated...

I have never taken Lexapro - but you should never Up your Meds without your doctor's ok.. I do take clonopin and that takes the edge off. Maybe there are some other medications out there that would be better for you. You should discuss this with your doctor, or go to a professional that deals just in anxiety and depression. That is what I did and it has made a world of difference. Good luck!

I Took Lexapro without side effects and no benefits. I was still Crazy Pam. My son was on Klonopan (whatever, I think I spelled it wrong), and it made a big difference in him. He was approachable and lot more relaxed. He quit because his friend said he was a different person when he took it. Paul thought he was losing his edge at work.

I take 10 mg of lexapro, and also xanax for anxiety and depression. I am feeling some better. Mornings are the worst. I get so anxious, I am trying to do the program, and have positive thots and also to cut down on caffeine. It is all so overwhelming. I am going to have a new year's resolution to work the program, and try to eat better and hopefully with the meds and the program, I'll get better.

Linsey that's the spirit! That's what I'm trying too! I'm on 40mg of Lexapro as the 20mg that my dr started me on wasn't doing anything at all. I've been on Lexapro 40mg for about a month now, feel much more positive--but like you, mornings are sooo hard. I've been able to work from home for the past few months, but I need--no, WANT to work in the office, but it's like I'm scared to leave the house in the morning to go to work.

Mornings are worst for me as well. Actually I usually wake up at about 3 in the morning with bad anxiety and some depression. I'm not sure if maybe my blood sugar is low or something but it feels like I have anxiety before I can even think to stop it. I just started Sertraline (generic for Zoloft) about a month ago. I felt almost back to normal after about 2 1/2 weeks but then about 4 days ago started feel horrible again. Anybody else on this that can give some insight into how long it takes to work and if there are relapses throughout the process?

LEXAPRO MAKES YOU GAIN SOOOOO MUCH WEIGHT...it helps but I gained 50lbs and I exercised and everything. I'm now med free but I deal with the anxiety somehow...
