Fightback, I hope you have gotten back to feeling good again and hopefully are not working so many hours. Take care!

Thanks so much....
Some days are setbacks, but today I had a pretty awesome day. I'm still working a lot, but am trying to work smarter and lose the feeling of being "at work" or in high tense mode. I try to imagine how a surfer dude would feel in his body, and remind myself that I can get more done when I'm relaxed than if I am tense. People are not impressed by someone who gets lots done but is freaking out. People respond better to someone who can get it done and remain calm.

I'm doing as much guided meditation as I can get my hands on. I get bored of one after a while, but I do believe it is helping me train my body to recall the relaxed state more easily.

PROGRESS.

"never discourage anyone who makes progress, no matter how slow"

I like to apply this to myself. And also to others at work or play that others are overly critical of.

bonne journee

fightback76,
Sorry I am so slow in getting back to you, but I am glad to hear you are doing better and can't tell you how much I love your reply to me! It is so positive and uplifting and I agree with everything you had to say in it. Thanks for making my day today and reminding me of all those things :)

Hey, I'm happy to get your delayed reply - gave me a chance to review what I said!

Still learning. Still good days and bad, but trying to take it all in stride - be more effective less affected!

Thanks

ah, lenore, you have so much to share.

I feel like I am walking in your footprints when I oftentimes read your posts.

thank you for taking the time to share your experiences.

i, too, am doing much better. each month seems an improvement.

i have taken only slightly different paths from you, as prayer/God + exercise + my anxiety counselor + supportive family and friends + good nutrition + eliminating negative events + Lucinda + time have all worked wonders.

what i need to use in greater abundance, is your use of journals with dealing with past emotional crises. you see, I am a "storer", or i don't deal with my emotions when they happen, i "store" them away (for what purpose I will never know). Alas, they build when I do this, and it eventually leads to an explosion.

I also am a tremendous commitment-phobe, and am working on this one as well.

but I am finishing up my graduate degree, looking for the fun and positive in every situation (my wife and I are pregnant with a BOY and expecting in 5/2009!!! :))- heck, this news from yesterday has really ignited HOPE in my life...and this is essentially what I was asking God for, ofcourse in my babble-ese...God was probably like "Alright, already, here ya go, it's hope that you want, here...have HOPE, just stop talking!"- jk.

i work part-time in the schools, and have a great time with the kids.

i know that i need to work more on positive training, as i can sometimes still be susceptible to feeling down about things, but overall love your message.

thanks for inspiring Lenore!

fightback/Heather,
I have not heard from you in ages and just wondering how you are doing? I have not posted here in months but usually spend more time here during the holidays and would love to hear how you are doing?
