Hello!Well I've been doing great until I hit PMS again this month.I'm having at least one to two panic attacks everyday. Is this something that I can also start to control or do I just have to live with it?It's very frustrating when like I've said I'm dealing with my anxiety so much better then BAM that time of the month triggers attacks!Any replies would help so much.Thank you!

Hi Fear Not. For me that seems to be a trigger, the hormones. I can go months without crying then blamo-I'm all over the place. For me anxiety is a very bad habit. Learning to accept my desire for control, has made it some what easier but it still hurts like crazy. I'm no where near where I plan to be, but I sure have left the station.

Oh man, let me tell you...I am RIGHT THERE WITH YOU. Was doing pretty dang good until last Thursday when my stomach knot came back, started having major sleep issues again, and had that anxious feeling ALL day, every day. All of this made me upset so I've been crying at least once a day. I have friends with anxiety too and they all tell me that their anxiety is heightened when their period comes. I'm not sure what we can do about it but thought you might like to know that someone out there knows EXACTLY how you feel. Hang in there (I know I'm trying to).

I know PMS adds all sorts of goofy stuff to our systems and it's challenging not knowing what's what sometimes. One thing I'd like to encourage you about is that you don't now label that time of the month with panic. If you try to change your perspective about it and know that it may add some more stress and anxiety symptoms, but try not to dread it, it may help. Remember, we always make things a lot worse than they are with that anticipatory anxiety.
Itm ay still stink, but if you welcome it as a challenge, it may ease the intensity.

Hello-

I tried the program and had limited success because of this same issue. I'd do well for 2 weeks and then stink for 2 weeks. At the time, I was even using personal coaching and she tried to tell me that everyone goes thru it and I was blowing it out of proportion. I really felt I wasn't. I have since gone to a compounding pharmacist and gotten a progesterone supplement that I take in varying doses depending on what time of the month it is. IT IS A MIRACLE!! I feel like I have my life back. It's not like I never use the skills from StressCenter.com, but now I CAN use them instead of thinking all day every day about when I am going to die and "what if" everything. If anyone wants to talk more, feel free to PM me.

newrunner...I would love to know what a compounding pharmacist is??? I have suffered with bad pms for about 13yrs. There have been alot of women on here that have posted about this issue (including me). I believe you may be the first that I know of that has posted about something that has worked for them. Is there really relief from this aweful thing?!?!
I feel sometimes like I'm just about crazy.

Thank you fearnot for bringing this back up. I hope you find relief from this..take care :)

Pamprin contains a small dose of anti-histamine..that always calms me right down. Midol, however, contains caffeine..nonnonono.

I wanted to tell all of you ladies who are suffering, that I did some research tonight and was amazed at everything I found out. I started with the questioned I asked newrunner. I found out what progesterone is and sooo much more!! Bodylogicmd.com is one of the main web-sites I went on. It is so worth checking into. I feel like this may be an answered prayer for us all.

fearnot I hope you will check it out. I don't want to go into too much details but it said peri-menopause can start between 35-40 yrs. old. It also talked about pms. and hormone testing. one other website http://www.wetpluto.com/Progesterone.html I hope that helps :)

you might be interested in reading the book "What your doctor may not tell you about perimenopause", by John Lee, M.D. He is the pioneer in using NATURAL progesterone. Great information.
