Pristiq?

Has anyone tried pristiq? My doc prescribed me this med...and im scared to take any meds. I took it for two days, and on the second night I woke up with HORRIBLE hot flash, which didnt help my obsessive thoughts, and I felt WEIRD. I immediately stopped taking them and I have been fine. I woke up both nights at 1:30 on the dot..and couldnt go back to sleep. Do you think this was bc of the med? Is anyone else taking this?

I took Pristiq for 2 weeks and began having disorientation, my hair began falling out and I was even more anxious-with heart palpitations and all. Pristiq is poison! I have been told by my doc to never touch it again!

I just started taking it and the Dr. told me it was just Effexor time released. I have only been on it for 2 weeks and I just feel the same. I am scared now.

I took Pristiq for about 2 1/2 weeks and it made me feel HORRIBLE!!! I tried to tough it out but the dies effects weren't worth it and it didn't help my anxiety

Dont be scared. Meds effect everyone differently. You seem to be doing just fine on it so continue taking it.

I know Holly J. takes Pristiq and she says she feels better, before that she took Lexapro and wasnt doing well on that med and I am fine on Lex, so it is all differnent experiences for everyone.

Well i guess meds work differently for everyone. I have been on pristiq for 3 months now. I think it helped me a lot. I still get bouts of depression and anxiety. I tried lexapro and THAT was like poison to me. . so meds are diff for everyone. I would try to stick with the pristiq
