I had to give a short presentation in front of a group of people. I know what I'm saying - I'm just talking about what I do for a living. I did very well calming myself - talking positively about the upcoming event. I walked into the room where I was to speak and realized that wow I only have to speak to 10 people instead of a room full. Ok I can do this! But of course, when it was my turn to speak I can't breathe, then I panic I can't breathe, then I start talking and it doesn't make sense. By the time I calm down the presentation is over and I feel like an idiot. I can't believe I have worked so hard to fix this problem of anxiety and I'm still having panic attacks. I am just so upset and embarrassed.

You did great!!
I'm so proud that you were able to get up and speak in front of those people and likely you came accross just fine. Only you know what you wanted to say so if you did make a few minor mistakes nobody else would have noticed. I give you so much credit for just getting up and being able to talk. try to be kind to yourself and remember we are usually so hard on ourselves and expect perfection.
Give yourself a pat on the back and try not to dwell on what you think may have been less than you wanted.

You have courage... ;)

I Congratulate you on your courage for getting up and giving the presentation. You should feel really good about yourself and pat yourself on the back. That is a big achievement and you did it. We are always are own worst critics and it probably sounded so good to others. The more you do this the better and easier it will become. Way to Go for your accomplishment and the fact that you did it and please don't be embaressed but instead be proud of yourself!!
