Anyone ever feel like you have to trade one thing for another?
I have been having horrible mood swings and my doctor thinks it's hormonal so he put me on the pill.
I've only been on it a few days and now I feel more positive and fun, but I have this feeling like a weight on my chest all the time. I have had a couple of PA's where I feel I can't breath too.
I hadn't had anything like that in awhile.
So now I feel like I have to choose between one problem and another. Overall, I guess I'd rather have better moods and an occasional PA (better for my marriage) but it would be really nice to have neither one!
The other thing is I wonder if the tightness and anxiety is from the pill, or just my anxiety about taking it. LOL
Tightness in chest
Hi
I'm new to the group but I've been working with the program since Sept. I went through the whole program when I first got it but didn't GET IT. I was going to return it but something stopped me and I think it was all that I read and listened to on the tapes hit me right where it hurts. All of this is scary!! I didn't go on the group because I didn't know how to do it and didn't want to appear stupid but finally I called the help line and decided to try it. I'm glad I did because now I know I'm really not alone....I had and still have the chest pains. It feels like a truck is on you!!! I also feel like fainting somedays and the feeling my heart is racing so fast it hurts. All of these signs are why this program is my last hope to be "NORMAL"
Good luck to all of us.

Thanks Mary. The difference right now is even when I have a PA I'm able to talk myself through it and get better pretty quickly. I had one in church today and I told myself to sit still for 10 minutes and breath and it would go away. It did. The tightness remains.
The dumb thing is that I talked to a friend a couple weeks ago that had that symptom and now I have it after not having it for years. Mind over matter. LOL
