I just bought the program...it hasn't come yet. I suffer from generalized anxiety plus OCD and depression; my 22 year old son suffers from OCD, BDD, and social anxiety. Does this program really help with OCD? Both of us have given up on medications working and need something to give us hope for some happiness in the future. Anyone have severe OCD who was helped by the program?

I'm in a way, new to the program also. I used this program years ago and it really helped me. I had severe anxiety with OCD. I have been "recovered" for at least 5 years now, but recently everything has come back. I stopped using the program when i got better and I guess had forgotten what it was like to feel this way. I'm now back on the program and hoping that it will help as much as it did the first time around. In my experience, nothing is a permanent fix if you don't keep up with the "treatment" that works for you. As long as you keep practicing you will get better. I refused to take medications this time around. I'm going it with just the program.

I have been through the program once about 4 months ago and now going back through it. I have OCD...I think the same thoughts until something else to worry about come up. Now it is the 2yr break up. I think felt badly about the break up and then that manifested into the anxiety attacks, not sleeping etc. I not sure I was cured the 1st time, but everything I hear or read about our condition will help with these techniques.

Lucinda's program helped me.

Books by David Burns and Lee Baer (who specializes in OCD) were also very helpful.

The Obessive Compulsive Foundation was also a valuble resource to me.

Best wishes.
