How do you trust your gut?
If we have depression and are not seeing things clearly, how do we truly know when things are going downhill? How do you trust your gut feelings? I have said and shared some things with my supervisor, which I now hope that I hadn't, and I feel that things are going downhill. She just doesn't treat me the way she used to. I have actually told her that I thought about quitting at least 2x. I got a good annual review, but I just don't feel like I am appreciated or even wanted there anymore. How do I deal with this? Any thoughts? Thanks
Unknown,
Your gut feeling is important. Its like if you see two pictures and someone asks you to pick.
Your first thought, or impression is your gut feeling.
If you are dissatisfied at work because you dont feel your getting anywhere, and your gut feeling is saying, move on,, stay a little longer to make sure.
First of all with the economy the way it is now, no job is totally secure, some companies are cutting back. You may have to take a little more crap than usual, but its worth staying for a paycheck.
Never quit a job, until you have another lined up to start.
Not many companies appreciate employees, honestly. But appreciate yourself and the job you do!

Hi There-
I agree that you must believe in yourself and the work you do. If you are confident in the type of employee you are, no matter the situation in the company, you will be able to take that to a new job with you. You will learn a lot about yourself and what you can handle when you go with your gut, but be confident about yourself and it will show in all areas of your life.
Good luck to you and I hope you find success in what goal you work for. -J

Hi Unknown2,
When I get that heavy yukky feeling in my gut it usually is telling me that something is not right. It's not the anxiety it's like a warning bel going off and generally when I feel like this something is wrong or is going to happen.
Also it may just be a thought that comes to mind and I have heard so many people in my life refer to that as your gut feeling or that inner voice speaking. I just know if I don't listen to what that feeling or little voice is saying I usually wish I had. It's seldom wrong!
Best Of Luck,
Believe in yourself.

Hi,
I am new to the program, I have always struggled with depression, but once I got into a relationship, it turned into non stop obsessive anxiety, until I couldn't handle it anymore, I broke up with my boyfriend even thought I loved him partly because I was getting anxious and had a bad gut feeling that cannot be labeled, can someone give me any advice on this situation? I just feel lost and lonely, but not anxious..
