RAPID HEART BEAT

LATELY I'V BEEN HAVING RAPID HEART BEAT. WALKING,EATING, EVEN WHEN I'M JUST SITTING DOWN. MY CHEST HEART MY LEFT BREAST IS SWOLLEN, AND I'M AFARID IT'S MY HEART I THINK MY HEART MIGHT BE SWOLLEN OR SOMETHING. THE WORSET THING IS I DON'T HAVE THE GUTS TO GO TO THE DOCTOR. EVERY TIME I GO TO THE DOCTOR I GET SO NERVOUS THAT MY HEART BEATS SO FAST THAT THEY WANT TO ADMIT ME TO THE HOSPTIAL . ANY WORDS FOR ME PLEASE!!!

I hate to say that you should go to your doctor but they can give you medicine like beta blockers to help keep your heart rate normal. Beta blockers block the effects of adrenaline on your heart so if you are having a rapid heart beat from anxiety - it can help. It would be worth talking to your doctor about. Besides you will feel better if you get everything checked out. Good luck.

I HAD TO LAUGH WHEN I READ THIS BECAUSE I WAS THE SAME WAY. I WAS ALWASYS AFRAID TO GO TO THE DOCTOR BECAUSE I WOULD BE AFRAID THAT I WOULD GO IN THERE FOR LIKE A COLD AND WALK OUT WITH CANCER. BUT THAT WAS JUST SO STUPIT. YOUR SYMPTOMS TO ME SOUND LIKE YOU HAVE A FAST HEART RATE CALLED TACCYCARDIA AND OR MAYBE HEART PALPATIONS WHICH I HAVE BOTH I AM NOT ON ANY MEDS FOR IT BC ITS NOT THAT SERIOUS. JUST GO TO THE DOCTOR ANYWAY IT WILL NOT HURT I PROMISE YOU

thank u both so much. i really don't want to take any medication for this.I'm going to make an appointment tomorrow but i don't know what's going to happen. I really just hope is anxiety.

I HAVE TO A AGREE WITH SHAKY SUZIE I THINK YOU SHOULD GO TO THE DOCTOR BUT MAKE SURE THE BETA BLOCKER THEY PUT YOU ON IS THE RIGHT ONE FOR YOU I ALSO HAVE RAPID HEART RATE EVERYDAY OF MY LIFE I CAN MOVE FROM THE COUCH TO THE BED AND MYCHEST IS BEATING FAST EVEN TAKE MY DOG OUT TO THE BATHROOM AND IT IS RACING THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR A YEAR I WENT TOA DOCTOR ABOUT 2MNTHS AGO AND HE TOLD ME THE SAME THING THE OTHER 10 HAD TOLD ME IT IS ANXIETY (DUH) BUT TOLD ME HE WOULD PUT ME ON SOMETHING TO HELP WITH THE RAPID HEART RATE SO HE PUT ME ON TOPROL XL 25MG AND IT DROPPED MY BLOOD PRESSURE SO LOW TO WHERE I FELT LIFELESS IT ALSO MADE ME FEEL DIZZY SO BEFORE YOU GET ON ANY MEDICATION MAKE SURE ITS THE RIGHT ONE FOR YOU I HAVE BEEN FIGHTING WITH THESE 2 PROBLEMS FOR A YEAR ANXIETY AND RAPID HEART RATE AND I REFUSE TO BE ON ANY ANTI-DEPRESSENT OR BETA BLOCKERS BECAUSE OF THE WAY THEY MAKE ME FEEL I AM CURRENTLY JUST TAKING A LOW DOSE OF XANAX AND HAVING TO STRUGGLE WITH RAPID HEART BEAT EVERYDAY EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT PUT ALL YOUR TRUST IN GOD AND HE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU

That's exactly how i feel just getting up from the bed my heart beats fast. I really don't want medications. I think if the doctor wants to put me on meds i would really freak out. I'm just taking it day by day. Thank You All.

I freak out at the doctors also!! I was there last week and right as they were doing vitals my rate was like 150. The doctor seemed really concerned. I was practiacaly in panic attack mode!! Once I got into the room it was normal at 80, but now I am afraid to go to the doctor because my pulse is always sooooooooo high when Im there!!!!!!!!
