An idea. If this feels comforting to you (comforting is the key) try replacing the thoughts of having a heart attack with: Breathing deeply feels so refreshing. I know I am healthy, I know I will be okay because my breathing helps me feel better. Try replacing the thoughts about dying with: I show up for my life everyday, and it is wonderful to be alive.
These are just ideas. But the key is to find replacements which comfort you, which you can believe.
Best wishes.

Panicked.......I'm not the expert on this one as a matter of fact I should probably do this session over. However, what I have been doing for myself is "Positive Talk". If I start having a panic attack.........I accept and know it is going to go away and that I am ok; I'm not going to die from it. I slow down concentrate on my breathing and continue to fill my mind body and soul with all positive things. I know it is easier said than done but I think after a few times you will start believing yourself that there isn't nothing wrong and you will be ok. My mind is full of so many negative thoughts, ideas, etc. But I can say I can stop myself and that I am a wonderful person. Hang there I hope everything works out for you. I am on Session 5 this week.

i know where your coming from when i start panicking my left side of my chest tightens up and i think i`m about to have a heart attack.I`m just waiting for the big pain in the chest and then me falling to the floor but it never happens.
I`m on lesson 3 myself so i`m a complete novice but i`ve suffered agoraphobia/anxiety/panic for nearly twenty years now
One thing i`ve learnt over the years is the fight or flight response and i know that when i start to get that panicky feeling and the tightening in your chest it just a perfectly natural reaction as your body automatically goes on red alert to protect its vital organs the muscles round my chest tighten to protect my heart and my neck/throat muscles tighten to protect my jugular vein thats why its hard to swallow when your panicking as soon as the danger subsides they relax
thats the theory but it doesnt help me as i`m still a bag of nerves lol
p.s you just like me are not dying of an heart attack anyway we will probably live till were 100
good luck with the program
