My scary feeling

I have been doing well with my anxiety lately but I have had this sharp pain run up the left side of my neck and a pinching at the base of my neck in the left side as well. I get EXTREMELY dizzy when I feel this and a headache that feels more like pressure instead of pain. It terrifies me that it is a tumor or a blood clot or something horrible. The dizzyness and weird feeling scares me to death. I then feel like I can't breathe good because I worry that the "something" in my head is making it to where I cannot breathe! IMAGINATION!! It may sound obsurd, but it scares me so bad. Can anyone relate and help me?? Please.
Hi Ethans Mommy,
have you seen a doctor about this pain? If not it's a good idea just to be sure there isn't any medical reasons. That way you also can relax and know that it's anxiety related.
I had something similar happen twice and thought for sure I had at least one heart attack..the pain was unlike anything I had ever experienced before..went up my shoulder, neck, jaw, ear and head and just burned and felt like something was tightening around my upper body. I had tests done and thankfully I did not have a heart attack and still 3 years later around. Anxiety symptoms can really be creative and some experince many of the same feelings and some have severe pain in certain body areas, chest, neck, head, jaw, ears, etc.
I wish you well, always!

During high school I visited so many different doctors because of very similar things. I always had headaches and dizziness, numbness in certain parts of my body, tingling, eye twitches, and very bad stomach aches. I thought for sure something was wrong with me physically and was always scared of dying of cancer or something. All the tests would come out negative and it was very scary not knowing what was wrong with me. I do recommend that you go to the doctors just to get things checked out because when the tests come out negative, and im sure they will, you will be able to relax and realize that it's just anxiety. Anxiety does really strange, unexplainable things to the body. I hope everything turns out fine and good luck with everything on your road to recovery

Anxiety causes me all kinds of weird physical symptoms. Hot flashes, dizzyness, weakness and my throat closes up a bit making it hard to swallow larger things.
I went to a doctor to have the physical reasons ruled out. Now I just know it is a result of anxiety. That knowledge helped me. It still isn't fun but at least I know what it is.
