I have done a tremendous amount of research on natural vs. meds and would like to hear your experiences. The only medication that I tried was Wellbutrin for about 3 months. It has been quite a while since I was on Wellbutrin that I vaguely remember if it helped me. I have been taking different natural remedies for the past four years and feel that some of them do work, but often wonder if they are really working or is it my thoughts wanting them to work. I have tried 5HTP, St. John's Wort, Rhodiola, Chamomile, Kava Kava, Multivitamins, Inositol, Acetyl-L-Carnitine, Fish Oil and a few others that I can't recall right now. Have I tried too many things and have these things messed up my chemistry? When I try a new supplement, I make sure that I have finished the other bottle and have a lay-off period in between. I have read numerous articles about studies done that indicate natural remedies are just as effective if not more effective than medication without the side-effects. Are these studies accurate and are the claims true? I often feel I may have a problem with Dopamine in my brain because I read that Dopamine is the chemical for excitement and motivation. Are there any supplements that can jumpstart dopamine production? I know my post is rather long and will try to keep future posts shorter, but as I type this, I have a million thoughts popping in my head and want to get them all out.

I have found that the Positive Mood Formula supplements offered along with the Attacking Anxiety program are GREAT! I was skeptical at first, but after 2 weeks of taking them I have seen a BIG difference in my energy level and how I feel. Taking them is a big part of my program. That, along with the Attacking Anxiety program itself, I am hoping to overcome my anxiety and depression without prescription meds.

Hi Ginger, I am not familiar with the Positive Mood Formula that you are speaking of. Who sells it and how much? I turned to natuarl remedies for two main reasons: I am not insured and felt extremely bitter about not being able to receive care from doctors and I believe that God has provided us with whatever we need to treat our ailments in a natural form. I also have a concern about becoming addicted to medications and falling into what I feel is the FDA-medical profession trap.

I've learned alot about using natural supplements for anxiety, panic, depression, etc... I have used some of them myself. Below is information that has helped me in the past... hope it helps! ;)

This is really a great article on L-Theanine (Suntheanine - amino acid derived from green tea)

Tigerman- the Positive Mood Formula is offered with the Attacking Anxiety program through Good Living Labs. (800)-511-7387. It's a little pricey (30.00/mo) but worth it to me! I also take a nutritional supplement called Sea Aloe. It has trace minerals and nutrients including lithium (which helps with manic depression). I'm all for doing anything and everything I can to help my anxiety and depression. These supplements just give me a heads up. mySeaAloe.com...good luck!

I have been afraid to try the suplements that come with the program that are supposed to make you feel better. I have always been afraid to take supplements and pills. Are there any risks or side effects to the suplements? Has anyone had negative results? I really need a second opinion before I start taking them. Thank you all!

I got on an alternative medicine program. Taking loads of vitamins but it helps me. I am slowly weaning off Xanax. I take it during the night though.

I was very skeptical at first, but the Positive Mood Formula has really worked for me. I wouldn't be without them now.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies. I went on the
Good Days Labs website and am going to try the 30 day trial of the Multi Mega formula which includes the Positive Mood formula. I have taken many of the ingredients in the past individually and spent upwards of $150 a month. For $30 a month, this Good Day Labs is worth a try. What I have found in my three years of using supplements is it is trial and error and noone has answers to what will work for you specifically. It is very frustrating at times that there doesn't seem to be a place you can go to and get tested or is there?

Hello Tigerman,

I found a professional herbalist from a friend of mine. He gave me the nutritional/herbal supplement support that my body needed. Seeing someone who has a background with herbs/supplements, etc. is very effective rather than guessing what is needed from the health food store. My herbalist has a Ph.d. in nutrition and has developed his own line of products. They have worked wonders for me. My thyroid was out of wack and he brought that back into balance. Since the thyroid is the mother of all hormone activity/interaction in your body, it needs to be in check for everything else to be in check. Now that my thyroid and IBS/GERD, etc. is all in check and he has peeled away the layers of body troubles I was having at the surface, we now understand that I am going through perimenopause. This is a hormone issue and I now get hormone cream from my herbalist for this as well. You might try seeing someone that can test you for exactly what you need. Herbal/supplemental therapy is extremely effective when taking those needed for your particular health needs and from someone who is a professional naturopathic physician.

Good luck - Eileen
