Hello, I'm writing for some advice and support. I had first started the program back last year in October and got to session 9 but then it was Christmas season and i took a break thinking i'd be ok to start back up after new years. So, I didn't complete the program the first go at it and now i'm ready to complete the program. However, this time feels so different. Why? And, will the program still work efficiently and successfully so that I can enjoy life without letting anxiety control me? And, why are we such procrastinators? I shouldn't restarted so much earlier, but why haven't I found the motivation?

Anyone that can help i'd appreciate it! Thanks!

Hi! I'm glad that you're giving it another try. I have just started the Program again for the 4th time in 5 years. I had completed the Program the first time around. The other times, I just listened to the cassettes and watched the videos. This time, though, I'm doing the whole thing again--workbook, writing in my journal--all of it. I'm also seeing a Psychologist. (This past four months has been full of stressful situations for me.)
As for your questions. I would say that the reason it "feels so different" is because you've already been through part of it and know some of the information. Yes, the Program should still work for you as long as you keep at it. Why are we such procrastinators? That seems to be a big part of anxiety. Either we are afraid to try what might bring about change in ourselves that we're chicken to get started. Or, we want to wait until we're ready to do the Program and be able to have time to do it perfectly that we put it off and put it off.
I'm glad that you're giving it another try. Hopefully this time you'll get all the way through it and see some wonderful results. Take care.

Thanks Debbie for your advice and insight! It's good to know that you have gone thru the program more than once, too! I do have faith that it does work wonders everytime! I think the main thing is that i've just got to first admit its ok to have an anxiety problem, and then stay on top of my weekly and daily activities so no negativity enters my mind. Then my self asteem and confidence will surge and prevail!
