Now your talking my language!!!! Good movies and tv programs. Dry humor can be the most funny. My cousin Vinny was funny because my dad was from LongIsland and the Bronx. People really do tawk dat way. Moiy futha tawked tat way awll da tyme. When Vinny's girl friend says to "blend" and they are wearing their NY black leather jackets  . :D Frasier is also really funny, his brother Niles cracks me up.,and that dog. Home Improvement,etc.. Was watching MaryTylerMoore dvd and one show, Mary was going to leave WGM and they had a party for her. Ted was drunk and drinking spiked punch and says he's a no talent. Murry says "someone put truth serum in the punch" :) Just a very few out of trillions of funny movies and tv. Good topic!! Laughing helps a lot.
You are so right. Thanks :)

seadog...my husband loves A Christmas Story. That's another tradition...to watch that one at Christmas time too. The kid who gets his tongue stuck to that pole is one of my favorite parts.
I hav'nt seen Harry and the Hendersons. That might be a good dvd rental plus the other one as well.
Rose..I'm so glad someone could re-late to My cousin Vinny. I love that movie! I watch it on T.V. though...I bought the tape years ago. I was in shock when I heard all the F's so...I was like okay...we will watch it when ever it comes on regular T.V. "Freaking" sounds so much better to my ears. LoL

Know what you guys mean about the language ruining the movie. All the F words are such a turn off I agree. One time some years ago when the kids were young, we were watching "MaMa" I think was the name. About a overweight black man dressed as a woman and they were eating at the table. It was so funny on tv but when we got the video it was so bad I threw it out!
They ruin movies or programs when they get vulgar. :D Another thing I'm learning on a happy note - animals are God's gifts for us in more ways than we can know. :D
Sometimes America's funniest home videos has the animals on it and that is really funny. Dogs saying words or opening doors to the fridge or to go out :D

It's so funny how much we all have in commen...just by wacthing movies. :)
*D* I also had a dog named princess. She was a beautiful white Lab.
Rose...I like those funny home videos too. Have you ever seen "Country Fried Home Videos". It comes on CMT channel. It's like a redneck version of the America's funniest videos...it's hosted by Bill Engvall. He's a comedian who has toured with Jeff Foxworthy. Very funny stuff. I can always get a laugh from those "Home Videos"

What's the difference between the blue arrow reply and the yellow arrow reply??
anyway, Yes, I've seen "Country Fried Videos" too and it is funny. Havn't seen it in a while. The Frockers drives me nuts because of all the rotten things that happen to that stupid guy for no reason. Murphy's law is his life! I bet he suffers with panic attacks!! :D
Tv is one of my major escapes. Today I'm going to an afternoon movie "The women" with Meg Ryan in it. I enjoy going to the movies alone, talk about the ultimate escape!!! No one usually goes in the afternoon. have a great day all

let me just start off by saying that I come on these message boards, like, every day when when my job gets boring, and I've never posted anything - until now! I've always wanted to, and it's funny that I've moved to post in this forum - thank god, because with my obsessive thinking and this anxiety, too much time on here can just make it worse on the hard days - depending on what I choose to take from whatever I'm reading!
ANYWAAAAYS - my husband and I are HUGE movie buffs, and huge comedy buffs as well. While we can appreciate almost all comedies, the one that leaves us rolling on the floor lately is Knocked Up. I know some people say it's sexist - but the dialogue is hilarious!
Also to add to the convo posted earlier - My Big Fat Greek Wedding is a movie that will always make me feel better and did you guys see that Christmas Vacation was actually on tv a few days ago! funny :)
Well, now I've finally made a post on here and I'm happy it's in the "humor" forum - because really, don't you just want to laugh at yourself sometimes with all this crazy stuff we're thinking??!!?!
Here's to all of us creative beings!!! wink wink!!!
Smile everyone! God Bless us all and TGIF!!!!!!!!!
