Acting at 48?

I want to start acting. This might be a manic episode, but I don't think so. I believe I can do it! My brother started taking acting classes at 50. Today he has his SAG card. He's played roles in tv commercials and such. I have to go. My wife just called me.
Any suggestions?

I'm 36 and have the same ambition -- but worry I am too old or that my body is just not good enough for the big or small screen. I don't know how to get started, how to get my name out there without spending thousands. I am in community theater, but I would love to branch off and do other things. I think it is possible. The only time we really lose is when we give up. Good luck!! Wiskers ~

I have a good friend at work who is in her 50s. She acts as her side job. She has been in movies, commercials, print ads etc. She loves it! You are never too old to chase your dreams!
